I think it’s important to find someone who is in the same or similar realm as your business, that has experience, and is actually successful. There’s a lot of coaches out there who make their money selling courses and while that’s great, I prefer someone who has experience doing what I’m doing. Let’s talk self-confidence, self-esteem, body issues, etc. and checking our fucks at the door. Today’s episode is more life centered. Confidence absolutely can bleed over into your business but it 100% starts with you. On Metal Marvels Instagram I posted a morning quote to get people engaged in an honest conversation. It turned out way better than I ever imagined. People were being real and honest with the struggles they were dealing with. From relationship shit, to work problems, to divorce, and an overwhelming about of body issues, weight issues, self-esteem issues, etc. It hurts my heart to know that so many people still struggle with this, and I know a SHIT TON of people do. At one point or another, we all do. The most shitty part about it is that had some other source NOT said we were ugly, fat, weird, less than, we wouldn’t fucking feel this way about ourselves. In Episode 17 I talked about celebrating your wins and being proud of what you accomplish. Today I am talking more about really taking a look back and looking at where you’ve been and what you’ve done. In todays’ world especially, with things moving 400 miles a minute, and just a go go go, hustle mentality, it’s very rare we sit and take that moment to let things digest. Which means is extra rare that we look back.   So today I am talking about why it’s good to look back and see where you’ve been. This applies to business and to life. Society has it’s own way of telling us who we should be, how we should act, what we should look like, what we should like, etc, etc. You know my answer, I think that’s all BULLSH*T. We struggle with it daily. I always tiptoed around being myself and being the "norm." Well I'm not the norm and I'm certainly not normal. I can't tell you how much it hurts to see women struggle to be themselves in fear of what others may think.    We've been conditioned to be too afraid to speak up and speak out, too afraid to wear that short skirt that makes us feel amazing, too afraid to not like the things everyone else does, and frankly just too afraid. Far too often in society we’re directed to be against each other, to have beef, to have drama, to judge other women, etc. However, far greater things come from collaborating with fellow women than being against them. We’ve been told that it’s not appropriate to celebrate yourself. It comes off pretentious or braggy or what not. I think that’s bullsh*t. If you can’t celebrate yourself and for yourself how the f**k can you expect anyone else to? You’re the one putting in the work daily. You’re the one working your a** off. More often than not, there won’t be someone there everyday to see the work you put in, so when you want to celebrate, they either won’t fully understand or won’t have a grasp on just how big of a deal it is.
