    15/01/2022 Duração: 01h09min

It's another review from the Good Brothers, continuing their stay in the future of Neo-Gotham with the Batman Beyond episode "Sentries of The Last Cosmos." But perhaps to get to the future, the hosts may want to return to a galaxy far, far away...with this episode there are plenty of references to a certain George Lucas created IP from everything including screen wipes, robes and lightning shooting from the villain's hands to....Bruce Vilanch??? That's right you'll hear Cal & Liam discuss the highs and lows of an episode designed to pay homage to Star Wars and other famous Sci-Fi properties. But will the musical nods, flame swords and the man responsible for predicting how Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc be enough to redeem a dismal start in scores for the year? Find out and hear what series they'll be covering for the first time next week on this all new episode of the DCAU Review! The Good Brothers are kicking off their 2022 reviews by returning back to the future and picking up where they left off in the Batman Beyond watch order with the episode "April Moon." While the episode may not have a lot to remember when it comes to nostalgia for the hosts, they sure have a lot to say about the plot after this watch. Listen as they struggle to figure out where certain aspects of the story go, who the heroes are and why the main plot point centers around a bowl of cereal. With some fun visuals, Cal and Liam talk about the choice to equip one character with "buzzsaw knees" and whether one character's look is based off of the title character from the 90's sitcom Becker. Music also leads to a long discussion around the choice to use more traditional instruments in lieu of the rock drums, guitars and synth that usually contributes to the soundtrack. Rounding it out a few surprise voice cast members from well-known sitcoms and the return of another voice actor that played a memorable character in B

  • Ep. 184 - Static Shock - Grounded

After last week's exciting culmination of spoooooky season, this week brings the Good Brothers back to the DCAU and to Dakota with Static Shock and this week's episode "Grounded." Hear the hosts discuss plot elements and visuals reminiscent of Scooby-Doo and a voice cast of 45 year-olds playing teenagers. Additionally Cal is inspired by Carmen Dillo's pun-tastic name and both hosts express some frustration with the inconsistent animation, which plot point subverted their expectations in a good way and another solid voice cast that grounds an otherwise outlier episode firmly in the DCAU. Plus. the hosts discuss which episode they'll be covering next week, and much more on this week's DCAU Review! Be sure to subscribe to The Podtower on YouTube for
