A Chicago based R&B group originating in 1959 the Chi-lites had #1 hits on the R&B charts in the 1970s such as "Have You Seen Her?" and "Oh Girl." And several #10 hits. Their recent releases are "Low Key" and "Hold Onto Your Dreams." Thompson remains from the original group of Eugene Record, Robert "Squirrel" Lester Clarence Johnson and Creadel "Red" Jones. The present group consist of Marshall Thompson, Frank Reed, Fred Simon and Tara Thompson. The Chi-Lites were also featured, along with other big-named legendary artistes, in a docu/movie called "Only The Strong Survive" by Miramax films released in 2003. And appeared in the PBS 70s Soul Legends Concert. The Chi-lites have a 2011 European tour planned. In 2000, the Chi-Lites were inducted into Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame.
