Host Deardra Shuler will talk with singers Kendra Shank and Maggie Brown about their lives, music and friendship with Abbey Lincoln. A Chicago native, Maggie Brown made her professional acting and singing debut at the Body Politic Theater. She studied music, theater and voice at Columbia College and has since taken her polished vocal style on the road. The daughter of Oscar Brown Jr, Maggie has toured with her one-woman show: LEGACY: Our Wealth Of Music. "LEGACY" is a musical demonstration/lecture about the history and evolution of African American music.
