On the 2nd of August 1964 the USS Maddox was on an electronic reconnaissance patrol in the Gulf Of Tonkin off the coast of North Vietnam. The vessel was approached and attacked by 3 North Vietnamese Navy Torpedo boats and a battle ensued. Two days later the Maddox was attacked again. The aggressive posture displayed by the North Vietnamese lead to all out combat costing millions of lives. On Valentines Day 2013, Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius admitted the killing claiming he thought there was an intruder in the house and he was acting out of fear and self-defense mistaking Reeva Steenkamp for a burglar. The Enigma machine was an electromechanical device used extensively throughout WW2 to encrypt highly classified secret military messages and was thought to be unbreakable by the Nazi’s. In September 1964, Donald Shrum and 2 work colleges decided to take a hunting trip out in the Tahoe national forest for 3 days to bow hunt for deer. Donald got separated from the hunting party and had to spend the night in the forest all alone. What happened to him over the next 12 hours is insane, he claims to have seen a huge UFO and was attacked repeatedly by alien beings accompanied by a robot who tried to gas him.
