So, this week, we're going to talk about none other than Michael Eisner, who was CEO of The Walt Disney Company from 1984 - 2005. Together, we'll look at some of his successes and failures as well as pull back the curtain to reveal some of the dramatic confrontations that happened behind the scenes during his time with the company.

On this week's feature discussion show, I'm coming to you on location from Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park in Walt Disney World. Typhoon Lagoon was the second water park that Disney created down in Walt Disney World, and it contains consistent theming with an in-depth back story that includes, not just the water park, but also ties into the old Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island destination across the street before it was transformed into Disney Springs. The design of the park from the buildings to the centerpiece of the park, Mount Mayday and the Miss Tilly fishing boat on top of the mountain, all come together to tell a fascinating story that we'll unwrap here on the show.

I was so fascinated by the story of Freedomland, that I invited Mike Virgintino, author of "Freedomland U.S.A.: The Definitive History" to join me for a more detailed look at this park and it's 7 themed lands based on the historical aspects of the United States of America. Mike will walk us through from before the beginning with a developer by the name of C.V. Wood who was Disneyland's first employee to the inevitable demise and bankruptcy of the park.
