Waffle On about Westworld  Welcome to part 3 of 12 celebrating the year of 1973. Meds and Kell turn 50 this year and are celebrating with their birth year films and this month is a corker. Westworld starring Yul Bruner, Richard Benjamin and Thanos’s dad James Brolin burst onto our screens and through us into the possibility of living in history. Waffle On about The Day of the Jackal. Part 2 of 12 celebrating 1973. Hello and welocme to this special year in which both Meds and Kell turn 50 years old. So what better way to celebrate than to do a years worth of films from 1973 and this month we have Edward Fox looking rather cool in The Day of the Jackal. Its a stunningly good film full of suspense and cravats. Also we have never seen such dedication to getting the French accent right, well at least Anton Rodgers tries.  We hope you enjoy this episode, please do share and stay safe.     

Waffle On about Live and Let Die. Part 1 of 12 celebrating 1973. Hello and welocme to this special year in which both Meds and Kell turn 50 years old. So what better way to celebrate than to do a years worth of films from 1973 starting with Bond, James Bond.  Live and Let Die was Roger Moores first venture into the world of 007 and what a cracking start for his run. Waffle On about Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer Hello and welcome to our Christmas edition and its a bumper bonus episode full of fun and Waffles. On this episode Meds and Kell chat away about two of their favourite comedians (and light entertainers) Vic and Bob. They hit our screens back in the late 80's and our two Wafflers were in sixth form at school at the time (and nothing seems to have changed in their childish minds) so it left a lasting impression.  Along with the main topic of chat the lads talk about the new Avatar film, some recent movie news and they read an email from our resident man in the asylum Rob K.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. 

Waffle On about Robbery (1967) Hello and welcome to this months bag of Waffles in which Meds and Kell talk about this brilliant under rated film Robbery. Waffle On about Event Horizon Its our 2022 Halloween special and what better way than a bit of classic 90's Sci-Fi Horror. This film amazingly bombed at the cinema but found its audience via video and later DVD's. It a good old gory film but gory in the right places. Starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neil this film really does tick the boxes for a good old Halloween viewing.  Meds and Kell also talk about the latest Dr Who episode, Star Trek and a strange tv series on Netflix called 28 days Haunting, its so bad its good..... kind of.  Happy Halloween.

Waffle on about 24 Hour Party People Hello and a big Hacienda style welcome to you all for this episode in which Meds and Kell talk all things Tony Wilson and the film 24 Hour Party People. The film is based on Tony Wilsons life from 1976 to 1997 when the famous Manchester nightclub The Hacienda closed down. Steve Coogan plays Tony Wilson a man who was forward thinking if not slightly mad but loved Manchester and its music scene.  The lads also discuss the new Disney tv show Obi Wan Kenobi and the latest box office smash Top Gun Maverick.  Thanks for listening, please do share a little show it does make a difference when the podcast charts are nw dominated by well known celebrities its important to remember the small honest shows. It stars the wonderful Gene Hackman and the always reliable Roy Scheider as Popeye Doyle and Cloudy. Waffle On about Fight Club Hello and welcome to this months edition of Waffle On in which Meds and Kell talk about this 1999 David Fincher movie, Fight Club. It stars Brad Pitt and Edward Norton and has gained a cult following since its release on home media. It didnt do too well when released on the big screen (we have no idea why that was the case) but, as mentioned, has gained huge popularity. Waffle On about Taken. Hello and Happy New Year to everyone, lets all hope 2022 will be a corker. We hope you all are safe and well.  So Meds and Kell decided to start this years run of Waffle On in style with a great pop corn movie. Sometimes you just want to pop a film on, watch some mindless violence and enjoy seeing the bad guys get their teeth kicked in and legs electrocuted. Made in 2008 this film changed the direction of Liam Neesons career. He went from being a romantic actor to a leading action star. The film produced 2 sequels and a tv series. The films were written by legendary film maker Luc Besson, a often over looked creator who has produced some amazing films such as Fifth Element, Le Femme Nikita, Leon and the brilliant French Taxi films.  As usual please write in via waffleonpodcast@gmail.com or join our Facebook group and send us your thoughts. In the lads opinion this is the perfect love story. Waffle On about Hell Comes to Frogtown. Well what a treat we have for you. This is possibly one of the cheapest films we have covered but its bloody good fun. Meds was introduced to this by Kell back in 1989 and it became a go to film when not going to college... (please dont take career advice from the boys). Waffle On about Man Bites Dog (updated version) Hello and welcome to the show and what a episode this is. Not only has the subject split the listenership but it split the opinions of the hosts Meds and Kell.  Man BItes Dog is a Belgium black comedy made in 1992 by film students   Rémy Belvaux, André Bonzel and Benoît Poelvoorde.  This is a updated version as we had a tech issue at the start of the podcast.
