How to properly lubricate your hand tools comes up, as does following proper service procedures while working in the shop. A surprise pizza shows up in the studio when a show fan donates more than cash to the cause.

This years first hour of fundraising brings some great calls and topics. Ray gets a win light when the dash cluster for the C4 Corvette works, then long distance driving trips are discussed with a caller. Chris describes his frustration and solution to a fluid transfer problem, then speeding motorcycles on local highways readies the boys for hour #2.

Ray describes the electronic rebuilding process on a Corvette dash cluster, then explains why guys like hanging out at the U.D. in Queens so much. Chris relays his failed attempt at getting his Tracker DRL's to shut off, then complains about the errant hair and general schmooze found in used cars. Frozen bleed screws, Weber carburetorrebuilding & building model car kits round out this hour of fun.

Ray fell in love but don't worry, his wife isn't mad, it was with the Caddy CTS rental car he had on a recent road trip. Holley gaskets are discussed and displayed, and Chris talks about his snowblower carb issue and how he found a rare sticker for his Chrysler 300. Electronic parking brakes and the pains of working on a Volvo round out the show.

The boys recap their talk with Dave from the Power Probe company,then delve into the hearty topic of car guys and their food choices. A great websitecar article is talked about, which turns the talk to vehicle cost per year. A caller speaks about motorcycles as alternate transport before an Escalade brake control module takescenter stage. The boys ask, "is cruise control smarter than we are?"

Ray details another tire repair using a great plug tool, then springs a trunk release taken from a Riviera on Chris. An audio gift received at a ROMEO club meeting is followed by a new caller from Oregon who talks about gear oil specs. Chris relays the troubles he had when doing a transmission service on his Mazda and what it took to get the repair parts he needed. Small engine carbs round out this hour.

Ray details his Indy trip where a 59 Chevy Brookwood project car was bought, then gives Chris a warm & fuzzy feeling by talking about Lenny'spizza in Bensohurst. Chris is on the hunt for a trunk release button & Ray was gifted a cool John Lennon drawing. Ray gifts a floor jack to DJ Rob, then Chris launches into a tyrade against his leaky Holley carburetor. The science and beauty behind making new hard lines wraps up the hour.

Ray breaks the news about a fly-and-buy car hunting trip he's taking to Indianapolis which raises all sorts of questions from Chris. A caller asks about the possible pitfalls associated with buying a late model T-Bird, which leads guest Carl Anthony to talk about older collectible cars, as well as the fastest production cars. Carl takes the boys down the musical wormhole after Ray samples a 60's controversial radio earworm.

With temps in the single digits what repair does Ray opt to do,cooling system maintenance of course! Then it's out with the old and in with thenew when a Black Beauty C4 Corvette comes to the shop. The difference in cars with the same engine are talked about as well as what it's like to drivea Hot Rod street car as opposed to a Brooklyn cruiser like Chris championed.

Radio Royalty from our station calls to ask why his 2003 Grand Marquis has a pesky no-start condition and the boys flesh it out. Diagnostic guru Joe D. makes a command appearance at the shop to help Ray get a hold of the Corvette's digitals, which turns into a lesson in broken bolt removal. MatcoMan Brian offers valuable tool advice.

Crappy caller phone connections aside, this week the boys talk about the art behind engine piston technology and design. Long Island & Brooklyn's rich history in automotive, motorcycle and music lead to some interesting triviadiscussion, then the voltage spikes when ray laments about Interstate battery failures.The C4 Corvette IAC valve and a PCV failure leads to talk about aftermarket parts quality.

The show starts with the boys lamenting over working on the C4 Corvette. Gasket material choices and brake bleeding techniques get touched onbefore Ray asks how to best ship a car bumper. Another radio station host calls and asks about her Fiat 500 armrest problem, then the topic of who designed automotive badge fonts puts the show to rest.

The guys start the show talking about the latest shop project Ray isinvolved with, a C4 Corvette overhaul. Finding replacement chassis parts and the value of Ray's contact list is covered, as well as Chris' time with his C4. The show turns into "MOPAR-Mouth Radio" when Mark Worman from Graveyard Carz comes on to talk about his upcoming projects & movie trivia with the guys.

The boys recap last year's show and celebrate the 21st anniversary of its tenure on WHPC. Memorable moments and prophecies found in a car magazine from 1978 find us talking about the safety of air bags & the advent of catalytic converters. Driving old vs new cars gets some air time, as does the pesky speed sensor replacementon Chris' Tracker.

The show kicks off with a tire pressure rant, but a quick recovery follows. Being the last show of the year finds the boys talking with an old friend and perennial great source of automotive knowledge, Carl Anthony from Automoblog.net. The boys cover current trends with EV's, hybrid's and even their old nemesis, the autonomous car.

The boys talk with Tom Sarmento, lead mechanic from the Dukes of Hazzard TV show about his new book titled "The Man Behind the General." You'll also learn some interesting personal facts about Tom as well as some cool TV trivia.

Ray celebrates his induction into the "Do Nothing Club" then fawns over the new Matco brake flaring tool he received from MatcoMan Brian. Dan Short from the very popular TV show Fantomworks calls in to discuss his new media ventures, including his homesteading involvement. Auto parts availability & quality are also kicked around this hour.

Do falsely advertised car ads on social media and the web annoy you as much as they do Chris? If so you'll love his recent rant. The boys talk about the new de-soldering tool Ray bought for audio projects and the crows foot wrenches Chris treated himself to. Fiat window repair and a fuse-blowing Buick heater switch round out the hour.

Extended oil change intervals kicks this show off, and if you're familiar with our train of thought you'll know that the spare tire cover rant that followed was totally normal. Ray's chore of moving the shop's NASCAR proved to be interesting to say the least, and Chris learned that his Tracker transmission may need help. Buick timing chain stretch diagnosis closed out this hour of fun.

This week we find Chris doing battle with car batteries, and he finally finds one that gets his Explorer to pass a state inspection. Chalk one up in the win column when the Chinese shift solenoids Chris bought for his Tracker have (so far) solved his 1-2 shift problem. Ray talks about working with a friend installing axles & bearings in a B-body Chrysler, and getting out of a tough jam in the shop.
