The gym is owned and operating by Maggie Nelson. She brings 20 years of gymnastics experience as both a coach & competitor. Since opening the gym in March, 2005, she has coached several state and regional championship teams and numerous state, regional, and national champions.

The 10.0 conversion is bringing back to college men’s gymnastics. During week 4 action there were 5 perfect routines: Shane Wiskus (Minnesota), Blake Sun (Stanford), Vitaliy Guimaraes (Oklahoma), Gage Dyer (Oklahoma), Stephen Nedoroscik (Penn State). Stanford blows out Oklahoma at home and pulls in the highest team score of the season.

Kobe Bryant, an American icon whose cultural impact went far beyond the NBA, was killed along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash Sunday northwest of Los Angeles. Bryant was 41 years old.

We are now into week 3 of the college gymnastics season. The biggest surprise so far is Oklahoma quick start to take the lead in the rankings and Nebraska rounding out the top 3.
