Nate's Take With Nate Rossetti

Nate says the NFL is going down a dangerous road when it comes to their work on player conduct and domestic violence. He says similarly, our country is also going down the same dangerous road and he gives you his thoughts on the course of the election. Nate says in the end, nobody will win this election. We've all already lost. He encourages listeners to get out and vote third party. He warns that every great empire falls and he points to the NFL and the US as being those great empires of today. In the second segment, he gives you his week ten NFL picks and he closes the third segment by answering mailbag questions.

Nate opens the show by talking about the new Major League Baseball World Champions! He briefly reviews the game and says that it was great for the sport of baseball. He reiterates his belief that leadership starts at the top and he talks about how the Cubs front office put together something that only many dreamed about. He says last nights game was more than just a game. Outside of being the greatest game of our time, it was a story, a story we can all relate too. In the second segment, he discusses Belichick potentially trading Tom Brady and some of the things Jamie Collins said when he got to Cleveland. He closes the show with a mail bag question.

Nate tells you why he's not surprised that the Patriots traded away Jamie Collins. He says that Bill Belichick is old school and he expects every player to do his job. If he feels they're not he is not afraid to move on. He attributes this to not becoming friends with his players. In the second segment he says the Cowboys need to stcik with Dak and he gives you his week nine NFL picks. He closes the show out with his thoughts on game six of the World Series and Card of the day.

Nate says that the world is not as dangerous as the media makes it out to be and he says similarly like we shouldn't be influenced by the media, Pat Riley wasn't influenced by the fans and history in Miami. Nate says Riley didn't want Dwayne Wade back because he didn't want what happened in LA to happen in Miami. In the second segment, he talks about the World Series and he says like in Chicago, leadership and the trickle effect is also true for the Indians. Nate explains why having leadership at the top is crucial and he says that leadership at the top and culture go hand-in-hand. He credits Chicago's run to the World Series as a result of a positive culture change and leadership at the top that trickles down throughout the organization. He explains that successful people in positions of power always have a blue print and know the organization before they come in and he says we need to move away from national searches and look within our own communities. In segment two, he makes his week eight NFL picks and he closes the show out with the results of 50, 75, 100 Hope and card of the day.

Nate talks about how New England is so lucky to have Tom Brady. He says we don't give Tom enough credit for learning the correct way to take hits in the NFL. He points out the fact that Jay Cutler has none of the qualities a Tom Brady has and he says although John Fox is a great coach, he will most likely lose his job because of his decision to stick with Cutler. In the second segment, he talks about how he believes this is the year for the Chicago Cubs. He says leadership starts at the top of that organization and it trickles down. Nate is live from Gillette Stadium for the home return of Tom Brady. He discusses Tom in the first segment and tells you the difference between Tom's style vs Jacoby Brissett's style. He says in life we need to train ourselves to do more than just what our specialty entails. In the second segment, he welcomes Brian McDougall via the LSN 'what's your take' hotline. Nate and Brian discuss the Red Sox, Patriots, politics, and Brian picks a team who he thinks will win by ten or more. Nate closes the show with his week six NFL picks and Card of the Day.

Nate opens by talking about Ronda Rousey's return to UFC and he says it's a major win for Dana White. He says that Rousey is a celebrity in her sport but that she's also a villain and he says that she is what the NHL lacks. He says the UFC is poised to take hockey out of the number four spot in pro sports as hockey faces the risk of taking big hits and fighting out of it's game. He says Gary Bettman knows what to do but he hasn't fully done it and it could end up being his legacy. In the second segment, he talks about the Chicago Cubs and Steve Bartman.

Nate discusses Tom Brady's return and he says a chip on his shoulder along with the ability to throw down the field is the Tom Brady difference. He also says Tom has made the most of his opportunity and in life we can do that too. In the second segment, he discusses his thoughts on Colin Kaepernick and the Black Lives Matter movement. Nate says that there are three keys that make good teams and good coaches successful in sports. He says they must stand tall, listen, and show courage. He says the same about life. He thinks that the NBA and NHL have it right but he acknowledges that Rob Manfred knows it's a problem and will work to fix it even if he won't publicly acknowledge it. Nate talks about different sports teams, players, and coaches who have used an unexpected motivational lift to move them forward. He says in life we all get that motivational lift from time to time. In the second segment of the show he talks about why Rex Ryan isn't a great head coach and he says he's not elite, shouldn't be in the same category as Belichick, and he says his biggest problem is the bulletin board material he gives to other teams. Nate admits he was wrong and he says that he wasn't the only one. Outside of the fans in Philly nobody saw what's happening with the Eagles coming. He also says that what they're doing is what he always preaches on the show. He says they're taking risks and from the way it appears those risks are working out. He explains that it's a major reason why the NFL is great. Nate compares the Cleveland Browns to a girl who can't always get what she wants and he says they're a complete mess. He also tells you how to find success through listening to the people around you and your gut. In the second segment he tells you another way to find success and it may surprise you. Nate says life is about making things happen and he says New England is going to find a way against Houston. He says there's a reason Garoppolo was a second rounder and Brissett a third. He encourages listeners to find ways in their own lives to make things happen. In the second segment, he continues talking about making things happen by talking about Tim Tebow. Nate says Tebow isn't selfish contrary to what the national media is saying. He also says Tebow is being an example by taking risks to make things happen. Nate explains why taking risks is sometimes a risk in itself but that the Minnesota Vikings took a risk on Sam Bradford and it's paying off. He also says sometimes in life you have to pay a little more to enjoy the time that you have and the Vikings are enjoying the time they have. Nate says Jimmy Garoppolo is a future franchise quarterback and he says he'll be a starter as early as next season for a team other than the Patriots. He talks about how success at the top will help quarterbacks like Jimmy Garoppolo succeed. Nate doesn't like the Tom Brady mural at Gillette Stadium and he says it's sending the wrong message. He believes people in New England should focus more on Jimmy Garoppolo.
