"Ask for whatever you want and I will give it to you," God said to Solomon. Not many know, that the same promise is also applicable for us today. Solomon however, had unparalleled wisdom. The challenge is to have the wisdom and discernment to know what to ask.

Nabal and Abigail reflects the two opposing characters in one's life. Whose character do you choose to identify with in your life? One will eventually marry a king, the other will die.

"You cannot find a lonely sin." Sin never stands alone. "Do not give the devil a foothold." David sinned once, and committed another sin, and another... Yet if we confess our sins, our God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Isn't it strange that He is both faithful and just, in this context? Let not that one sin, take a foothold, for sin begets sin.

Whenever something that doesn't seem to happen as you think should happen because of God's promise; listen: God has a plan for everything! ...When you are down, God is up to something. Therefore be strong and take courage.

What's in a name? It's more than an identity, it's a confession... not repetition, but the confession of the faith that God has given us to confess what God calls us by, a child of God, a believer, or like Isaac; the joy of God.

God's promises are always beyond the reasoning of the natural mind. Always beyond the ability to understand. The reality of the promises of God comes from acknowledging that I cannot understand when and how, but I will believe and obey.
