Jesus, Friend of Sinners. This sermon explores the radical hospitality of Jesus through the story of Zacchaeus. Jesus consistently chose to slow down, notice individuals others overlooked, and enter the homes of those that society labeled as "sinners." Hospitality is more than just entertaining—it's a powerful ministry tool that "turns strangers into friends and friends into family." Jesus's pattern of using meals and table fellowship as opportunities for ministry should challenge us to create space in our lives and homes for meaningful relationships with others. Drawing from John 13, Jesus' act of washing the disciples' feet—including Judas, who would betray him—is an example of servant leadership and unconditional love. We should have an eternal perspective, and demonstrate God's grace even to those who might hurt, reject, or think differently than us. The heart of Jesus challenges us to shift from a self-centered mindset to a posture of humility and service, highlighting that loving God and loving others are not optional recommendations but essential. Ultimately, we are called to recognize that the capacity to love and serve is a direct response to the love we have received through Jesus.

The biblical principle of sowing and reaping. The actions we take (sowing) directly influence the outcomes we experience (reaping). Just as one cannot defy gravity without consequences, one cannot ignore spiritual laws without facing repercussions. Pastor Seth encourages us to evaluate our own lives, identifying the seeds we are sowing and the harvest we desire. There is importance in sowing good seeds—actions and behaviors aligned with God's will—while we should be careful of the destructive nature that sowing in the flesh brings. Ultimately, we should live a life that is spiritually growing and obedient to God, assured that perseverance in doing good will lead to a fruitful harvest in due time!GALATIANS 6:7-107 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. In John 5, Jesus heals a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years at the Pool of Bethesda. Pastor Seth emphasizes the compassionate nature of Jesus, who seeks out those in pain rather than just the “highlights” of society. Jesus asks the man if he wants to be made well, if he has a personal desire for healing and change. The sermon challenges us to recognize and eliminate excuses that hinder us from experiencing transformation in our own lives. God works in mysterious ways, and while miracles may not always follow a predictable pattern, they require faith and action on our part. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:10 If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

1. We can do nothing to EARN more favor with God. Our own efforts fall short of His Character & Righteousness. He is enough. 2. Nothing we do can make God love us more than He already does. Jesus was the perfect atonement. 3. Nothing we do can make God love us less than He already does. He hates sin but loves the sinner. 4. The focus of FOLLOWING JESUS should not be deeds and doing, but a Daily Relationship with Him because of what He has already done. John 6:53-56 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

The year of 2025 is the year of BECOMING FULLY DEVOTED We Need a Personal Encounter We Need Wholehearted Belief We Need To Go Public John 3:1-3, 14-16 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, ‘Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.’ Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.’ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Who Have I Asked To Help Me?

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." False love is selfish God’s love is selfless False love is conditional God’s love is unconditional False love is greedy God’s love is sacrificial 1 John 4:11,15-16 “Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

False Belief #1 - “God is tempting me.” False Belief #2 - “It's possible for me to live a lifestyle of sin and follow Jesus at the same time.” False Belief #3 - “I want to be saved, but can't because of what I’ve done.” 1 John 1:7-10 “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”
