Only the King Could Carry this Weight    Mitch Corea, Student Ministries Pastor   Have you ever owed a large debt? In this passage, we see the culmination of Jesus' work on earth and the fulfillment of several prophecies. "It is finished." Within this one statement is the climax of the Gospel story and the completion of a work began by God all the way back in Genesis. His work is finished. He told His disciples “my hour has come.” No one takes my life from Me; I lay it down freely.  He told Pilate “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given to you from above.”  Jesus made it clear… This is my demonstration to the world.  I lay my life down for you.
