Pastor Michael Lodge Jesus left us an example to follow for life.  This example moves us from just loving God to loving people.  When our life story is all about us we fall into a rut and have little to live for.  Jesus invites us into His life story that involves loving people like He loved people.  It’s time to tell a better story.  It’s time to step into His story! Pastor Michael Lodge On Friday we see a demonstration of “NO greater love” when Jesus took on the full weight and punishment of our sin.  On Resurrection Sunday we see an opportunity for us to KNOW this greater love in a significant way.  Easter is an invitation for us to come and see who Jesus really is, put our faith in Him, and find new life.  Have you responded?  Do you Know His Great Love? Pastor Michael Lodge Paul ends his letter by driving home his main point- You have to remain In Jesus Christ!  If there is any hope to find His blessings.  If there is any hope to find our relationships restored.  If there is any hope to show our world the mystery of His love.  Then we can only find this hope IN JESUS CHRIST.  We have an enemy and a war being waged against us.  This enemy’s plan is to keep us from being in Jesus.  Are we doing everything we can to stay in Jesus? Pastor Michael Lodge Jesus knows if He can redeem our hearts then He can redeem our relationships.  Paul has looked at how our inner transformation should also change our relationships in our church body and our family.  Today Paul looks at the change that can happen in the one relationship that could have been filled with the most tension.  If Jesus can redeem the relationship between masters and slaves, then Jesus can redeem any relationship that is affected by the tension of authority.   Click on the links below for additional Cascade Church resources. Pastor Michael Lodge What does it mean to be a marriage IN CHRIST?  The church was asking this question.  The city of Ephesus had a dark understanding of what this relationship looked like.  Multiple wives, multiple concubines, multiple trips to the temple for “worship”... In chapter five, Paul spent less time writing about what was prohibited and more time celebrating what Jesus had to offer in the married relationship.  Our marriages as believers are on display for the world to see!  Are we offering a better option than what the world has to offer? Pastor Michael Lodge After pumping the Ephesians up in the truths of the Light of Jesus, Paul turns his attention first to how this truth helps us become that same light to the body of Christ. Before we can be a light to the world we have to see this reality in our faith family. God has a big vision for the church at Ephesus. This big vision is only possible if every member realizes they have a role to play and call to answer. God has given us the same call as a church in Monroe! Pastor Michael Lodge We have lived through and are living through a traumatizing time.  Many will probably suffer from some form of PTSD.  The Church in Ephesus was living through a traumatizing time as well.  They could easily ask “What do we do with what has been done to us?”  Instead, Paul redirects their attention and asks “What do you do with this life transforming truth?”  Because the Church focused on this truth their lives were transformed and they experienced Post Traumatic Growth in Christ.  Circumstances change all the time and can negatively affect our lives.  But today choose to follow the Ephesians example and focus on the life transforming truth that overcomes all of life circumstances.   Click on the links below for additional Cascade Church resources. Pastor Michael Lodge The sheep are walking out of the valley weary from walking in the valley.  They look up in the distance to see the hope of their next camp of rest.  The table prepared by the Shepherd.  The table is a destination of rest, contentment, and safety.  The table is a destination that fills the sheep’s heart with hope.  Today we are called to raise our banner of hope and step into the life that Jesus calls us to.
