Welcome to our final week in the series we called "The Church Just Wants Your Money". We hope the takeaway is that this statement is a lie from the enemy. The church wants nothing more and nothing less than to make Jesus famous and give people an opportunity to fall in love with Him. It's not about what we want from you but what we want FOR you. A full and joy-filled life right now...and eternal life with Jesus.

Today's message is about surrender. A surrendered life is a better life. Surrender means to give up control of everything and give God permission to control it for us. Some view surrender as defeat, but we are going to learn some things today about surrender and trust and worship that will help you to see that your greatest victory comes through surrender to Jesus.

The church just wants your money. We've all heard the phrase. In this 3-week series, we unpack the myth. We'll look at what God says in the Bible about money, possessions and finances, because the church doesn't just want your money.

So far in our You Asked For It sermon series, we have covered what God's word says about the resurrection, salvation and intimacy, as well as the reality of hell and demons. These have all been good questions but they were tough. Our 6th, and final, question in the series is undoubtedly the most emotionally charged. This sermon teaches what God says about homosexuality.

Are satan and demons real, or just something made up? And if they are real, what do we need to know, and how do we need to respond as God's people? Guest speaker Paul Mitton explores what the Bible has to say about this interesting question in our 5th installment of the You Asked For It series.

"What we believe about heaven and hell is incredibly important because it exposes what we believe about who God is and what God is like." Our fourth installment of the You Asked For It series covers the topic of hell. Does it really exist? Today's sermon covers what Jesus said about the subject.

In our third week of our series You Asked For It, we examine the question: Can I lose my salvation? It is a confusing question, but this week's sermon shows what the Bible says.

Our culture portrays love as something you fall in and out of, just like that. In today's culture, it is totally acceptable and even encouraged to you have sex before, during and after marriage. We have reduced love to some sort of fleeting emotional connection. Is this what God wants for us? Our "You Asked For It" subject for today will discuss the subject of intimacy.

If you could ask God a question, what would it be? We begin a series based on the questions submitted a few weeks ago. How fitting on this Easter Sunday that the first question is whether or not there is credible evidence for the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

What would you say is the most important thing for the church to focus on? What is the most important thing that a follower of Jesus Christ should be focused on with their life? In the final sermon in our series, we look at what the bible says that should be.

A good shepherd is always willing to do whatever it takes to find the one lost sheep. In John chapter 10, Jesus refers to himself as the Good Shepherd. We, the people He loves so much, are often referred to as sheep.The parable of the lost sheep was His way of saying He would do anything to find His lost sheep - those of us in need of salvation. If Jesus is willing to do whatever it takes to reach lost people, shouldn't we also?

Jesus says that his followers must pick up their cross and follow him. When we listen to Jesus' instructions and pick it up it is noticeable, uncomfortable, personal, permanent, and public.

Who holds it all together? What single name outweighs everything on this earth? A name that captures all of history's past? One single name that holds the potential of eternity's future? There is a name that holds it all, a name beyond all imagination and holding all possible potential. His name is Jesus and there is no other name.

If you could, would you remove everything bad from the world right now? What if you could push a button and suddenly everything bad in the world would go away? Before you answer, have you ever done anything bad? Have your children? How about your parents? The final sermon in our Prepared series discusses why a Good God would allow all the bad and injustice in the world.

Today's sermon is about the Bible and ways to talk about it when it becomes part of our conversation. Hopefully, we will come away with a couple of simple statements that relate to why we take the Bible seriously, and why "we don't believe what we believe because the Bible says so...its better than that."

This is the first sermon in a series about defending your faith. The object of the series is to give you some comebacks you can use when people make negative comments on your faith. The hope is to give you some things that might make a difference, and possibly get a real conversation going...

Jesus not only wants you to bear fruit - He wants you to bear fruit that lasts. He wants your success to be lasting and sustainable. But your success is only as sustainable as its source. Today's fourth and final sermon in the Power of Same series discusses what the real source of real success is.

To remain is to be steadfast, consistent, committed...faithful. To be fruitful means to make progress, to see results. We all want to be fruitful, don't we? We want progress and successful results in our lives. Jesus connects faithfulness and fruitfulness in such a way that they become inseparable.

Last week's sermon was about sameness - good sameness and bad sameness. Today, you will hear about patterns and the importance of being able to recognize them. Patterns promote behavior. Same patterns - same behavior. Patterns determine outcomes. Patterns are responsible for the product. If you don't like the product - change the pattern.

This is our first study series of the year, titled The Power Of Same. Today is an overview of the series that is based on a very well-known teaching by Jesus where he uses the metaphor of a grapevine and its branches to illustrate the kind of relationship he desires to have with us. This teaching is found in John 15.
