Although the plan isn't published, by combing through comments from the peace team members and taking note of their actions, a picture starts to emerge about what is in store.  Indeed, at least parts of the plan are already being implemented.

This week we have seen Benjamin Netanyahu elected for a record 5th term, and will look at this in light of Bible Prophecy.

For those of us that believe that Tarshish is the ancient Biblical name for the islands of Great Britain and that it has to be separate from the powers of Europe in order for the scene in Ezekiel 38 to play out, Brexit is an exciting thing to watch.

While Britain reels in a complex dance with the European Union, and within its own walls, to try to form a deal, a power behind the scenes is being orchestrating the outcome. However, the finger of God has indicated a course to be pursued by Britain which cannot be evaded.

The future temple in Jerusalem will be the temple of Satan’s Antichrist. They claim that a king in Jerusalem ruling over the world from Israel is a work of Satan. Many basic truths about the literal land and kingdom are spiritualized into nothingness.

Pope Francis has spent the last four days with 200 bishops and heads of religious orders who he has gathered from around the world for a global summit in Rome to discuss the crisis facing the Catholic Church over sexual abuse scandals and cover ups. Before the summit had even begun, Francis had warned against excessive expectations for the summit, saying it was a human problem that would continue (“Pope says Vatican abuse summit will not end crisis”, Reuters 2019-01-28). As horrific stories of the abuse of power continue to come to light, sadly it seems unlikely the pattern will change.

Brexit is still very much dominating the headlines and this week we consider some comments by Donald Tusk about the idea of hell and a place being reserved in it for Brexiteers. This is Matt Davis joining you.

After the fall of communism in Russia, nearly 30 years ago, Russia was left economically, politically and militarily weak. This week we review how things have changed since this time and how Russia is again a dominant power in the world as required by Bible Prophecy. This is Paul Barnes joining you from Moscow for another edition of Bible in the News.

The Economist cover this week says, “Brexit, the mother of all messes”. The Economist's intoduction to the article is, "Solving the crisis will need time—and a second referendum”. A second referendum is what the ‘remain’ side in Britain has been advocating for ever since they lost the first one and it isn’t at all surprising that the Economist would also vouch for this idea. The Economist has much flawed reasoning in their synopsis, but one thing that the publication is right about, is that the British parliament is in a mess. One of the root causes of the chaos, is that the majority of the political elite never wanted Brexit in the first place — including members of parliament and the house of lords. The British people spoke in the referendum, but the politicians didn’t like the answer, they are more oriented toward the European Union. But, there is more to it than this and we find the answer in the Bible.

Russia is arming, training and preparing the nations which answer to the ancient Cush in preparation for the grand invasion. This past week saw evidence of a move to put Russian ships in the ports of Sudan, and train equip some of these African Nations.

As the world celebrates the  beginning of a New Year with the usual revelry during party season, many will be wondering about the coming year—What does 2019 hold in store for the world? No  doubt many will be  optimistic and reflect the spirit of Isaiah 56:12,"Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant."

Another gentile year is coming to an end. On the last Bible in the News of 2018 we take some time to review some of the key events of the year in the light of Bible Prophecy.

The finger of God has indicated divergent courses for Britain and the European Union, which will see Britain ultimate leave, no matter how rough the storm will be in the mean time. The scriptures are clear, and the path forward will be directed by angelic hands.

This week in the news we have seen a clash between Russian and Ukrainian ships in the Black Sea just off Crimea, which has been occupied since 2014 by Russia.  The Russian ships intercepted, rammed, fired on and then finally, using its special forces, stormed and captured the Ukrainian ships and sailors.

Christadelphians have always had an endearing interest in the Nation of Israel, from well before its existence. Why is it that a "Christian" group would be so focussed on Israel?  As we observe the Bible in the News headlines, week by week, Israel keeps on coming into focus. Our consideration this week concentrates our the reason behind our connection to the Hope of Israel.
