Unchanging | Obadiah 1-4 | December 28, 2025 | Mike Gibbons
28/12/2025 Duração: 31minSend us a textIn this message from Obadiah 1–4, we’re reminded that while nations rise and fall and human hearts drift, God remains unchanging. The outline frames the passage around three steady realities:First, there is an unchanging history—a long-standing conflict traced back to the divided peoples in Jacob and Esau’s story (Gen. 25:23), reminding us that what Obadiah addresses didn’t appear overnight. Second, Obadiah exposes the unchanging nature of man, especially the danger of pride. Edom’s confidence in its position and security becomes a warning: pride always overreaches and always collapses. Scripture reinforces this pattern—God opposes self-exaltation and brings down the arrogant (Prov. 16:18; Matt. 23:12; Isa. 14:14). Third, the heart of the sermon is the unchanging character of God. Even when people are faithless, God remains faithful to who He is (2 Tim. 2:13). His love is everlasting (Jer. 31:3), and His justice is real—He rises against evil, scatters His enemies, and will not ignore rebellion (

The Daily Walk | 12.25.2025 | Mike Gibbons | Luke 2:1-20
25/12/2025 Duração: 03minSend us a text1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will c

Hope in the Son of God | Luke 20:27-44 | December 21, 2025 | Aaron T. Colyer
21/12/2025 Duração: 32minSend us a textIn Luke 20:27–44, a new group of religious leaders—the Sadducees—tries to trap Jesus. Since they deny the resurrection, they pose an exaggerated scenario about seven brothers marrying the same woman (based on Deuteronomy 25:5–6) and ask, “Whose wife will she be in the resurrection?” Their goal isn’t honest theology, it’s to undermine Jesus’ authority and discredit His claims. Jesus answers by shifting the focus from “this age” to the age to come. The resurrection life isn’t just a continuation of earthly structures; God’s people will be raised to eternal life, and even good gifts like marriage won’t define our existence there. The point of eternity isn’t preserving our family name or legacy, it’s worshiping the Name above all names: Jesus, in glory (Rev. 21:22–25). That future hope reshapes how we live now, calling us to stop looking for loopholes and instead long for what God has promised. Jesus then proves the resurrection from Scripture, reminding them that God is “not the God of the dead, bu

Marvel at Christ's Authority | Luke 20:9-26 | December 14, 2025 | Aaron T. Colyer
14/12/2025 Duração: 32minSend us a textIn this message from Luke 20:9–26, we’re called to marvel at Christ’s authority as Jesus teaches in the temple while religious leaders try to trap Him. Through the parable of the vineyard, Jesus exposes a familiar pattern: God sends messengers, but hard hearts reject them, so we’re challenged to consider who God has placed in our lives to point us back to His Word and whether we’re listening. The sermon also confronts our tendency to make wrongful claims of ownership, treating life as “mine” rather than surrendered to the Lord, and warns that judgment is real for those who refuse God’s rightful rule. Jesus is presented as the Chief Cornerstone: rejecting Him leads to stumbling, but receiving Him means building everything on Him. Finally, Jesus answers the trap about taxes with perfect wisdom: “Render to Caesar” what belongs to him, and render to God what belongs to God, our worship, loyalty, and whole heart. The invitation is clear: don’t play games with Jesus; respond in humility, repentance, a

Affection & Authority of Jesus | Luke 19:41-20:8 | December 7, 2025 | Aaron T. Colyer
07/12/2025 Duração: 32minSend us a textIn this message from Luke 19:41–20:8, we see both the deep affection and absolute authority of Jesus on display. He weeps over Jerusalem for missing “the time of His visitation,” reminding us of His heart for those who still don’t see Him as Savior and calling us to care for the lost in the same way. Jesus then cleanses the temple and teaches daily in it, showing that God’s people are meant to be a house of prayer and that every believer—now a temple of the Holy Spirit—is called to cling to every word that comes from God. As His authority is challenged by the religious leaders, we’re confronted with our own motivations: Do we truly recognize Jesus as the Son of God, and are we living to please Him or to please people? This passage invites us not to miss the good news of His visitation, but to respond to the gospel with repentance, faith, and wholehearted devotion.

04/12/2025 Duração: 03minSend us a text28 And when he had said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 When he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples, 30 saying, “Go into the village in front of you, where on entering you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever yet sat. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say this: ‘The Lord has need of it.’” 32 So those who were sent went away and found it just as he had told them. 33 And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?” 34 And they said, “The Lord has need of it.” 35 And they brought it to Jesus, and throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it.
