I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 

23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 

It is not unusual to experience confusion in the Christian life. Even the 12 Disciples, who lived side by side with Jesus for years, were often confused about what Jesus was trying to tell them. Jesus makes it clear that He desires First Priority in our lives. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords deserves nothing less.

16 When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one's eyes see sleep, 17 then I saw all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. However much man may toil in seeking, he will not find it out. Even though a wise man claims to know, he cannot find it out.

17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

2 “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: 3 Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;    my soul thirsts for you;my flesh faints for you,    as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,    beholding your power and glory.3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,    my lips will praise you.

3 Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. 4 And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” 5 And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6 But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

Happy Easter! He is Risen! This week we celebrated Easter and took a deep dive into the Transfiguration of Jesus. Pastor Aaron referenced several Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled in the life of Christ. This Palm Sunday we looked at Peter's Confession of Christ, the first prediction of Jesus' death, and the cost to follow Christ. Do you believe that Jesus suffered and died for our sins? Do you believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God? Are you willing to lay down your life daily to follow Him?

18 Now it happened that as he was praying alone, the disciples were with him. And he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” 19 And they answered, “John the Baptist. But others say, Elijah, and others, that one of the prophets of old has risen.”

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!    Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!Behold, your king is coming to you;    righteous and having salvation is he,humble and mounted on a donkey,    on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
