While they might not have become Zionists, a group of Gazan Arabs has once again launched an anti-Hamas campaign, calling out their leadership for their difficult economic conditions. The group says that Hamas, and not Israel, is to blame for poverty, unemployment, and other difficulties in their lives. The activists are also taking Hamas leaders to task for lining their own pockets while also appeasing Iran, instead of taking care of those suffering under their rule. Today the media loves to discuss "settler violence," but it is rarely interested in its historical origins. Historian and Bar Ilan Associate Professor Rabbi Dr. Jeffrey Woolf joins Eve Harow to speak about the controversial legislation being drafted in Israel to return conversion authority to city and local rabbis and away from the centralized Chief Rabbinate. Religious Minister Matan Kahane has tread into the fray to try to solve the pressing issue of (mainly descendants of Russian immigrants) Israelis who are not Jews according to the accepted Orthodox framework. Rabbi Woolf is a judge on a conversion court and he backs the reforms, with reservations, but others do not and it’s unclear if they will pass given the divisive political atmosphere in the Knesset. No definitive answers but a thoughtful and informative discussion with a very learned individual, devoted to Torah and Judaism, who is not afraid to give his opinion on a sensitive topic. On today's Israel Uncensored with Josh Hasten, an interview with The Land of Israel Network's co-founder Jeremy Gimpel. Gimpel along with Land of Israel co-founder Ari Abramowitz are digging their heels in as Israel's Civil Administration has issued a directive stating that they are planning on destroying Jeremy and Ari's vineyards at the Arugot Farms. The pair have been working tirelessly on their crops for over five years and have invested hundreds of thousands of shekels into them, yet for reasons unknown, they were informed that on Tuesday January 11, troops would be sent to the site to uproot their work. Listen to this week's show to hear how you can help support Jeremy and Ari leading up to the potential destruction of their crops. UPDATE - After the interview was recorded, the Civil Administration delayed the uprooting of the vineyard. They didn't cancel their decision, but delayed it. Jeremy and Ari fear that the uprooting can take place at any time.

Trauma expert Miriam Friedman joins Eve Harow to discuss the devastating issue that has rocked Israel for the last few weeks. The suicide of a prominent rabbi, therapist and children’s books author after myriad allegations of sexual abuse and pedophilia has led to many controversial and contradictory statements and actions by prominent persons. Survivors of abuse who have not yet shared their experiences are watching closely to see if they have the safety to expose their secrets, social consequences and shaming of the perpetrators be damned. Miriam explains that abuse is when a power differential is exploited and touching or sexual referencing is done, even if there’s no fighting back. She sees this as an opportunity for parents to enhance their relationship with their children by open talk, teaching them to learn to listen to their bodies in all situations and letting the child lead the conversations.
