There are some things we "need" to do in this life, and then there are legitimate, crucial things that if we don't heed them will endanger our physical lives. Well, Jesus told us in the Gospel of John through 7 "I AM" statements that He is CRUCIAL for our souls. And if we don't listen to Jesus, the consequence will be off the charts. We hope this reminder today would encourage you to NEED Jesus and do exactly as He taught us to because He loves us. Blessings!

We all know what it's like to prepare for things, especially big events of our lives. But the question we as Christians must primarily concern ourselves with, is "Are we preparing to meet Jesus?". In this episode we will discuss the poor souls from Matthew 25 who were unprepared to meet Jesus and how we can use their foolishness to our advantage by taking this precious time on earth to get ready to meet Jesus in way that loves Him. The Lord Jesus once asked the Apostle Peter if he loved Him "more than these?" The "these" aren't defined for us, but the question itself is plenty to chew on. Do we love Jesus more than anything and anyone? The question is necessary for the Lord to know that He can ask us anything and to have the confidence that we'll follow Him all our days. Just how amazing and profound is the experience of trusting in Jesus and being saved from our sins? We all might attest that there is nothing more profound, but do we live that way? We start a new podcast series called "The Deep End" and our first deep end conversation is how we can be truly committed to our Lord Jesus. We'll look at what Jesus meant when He said in Luke 9:62, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of God." We all neglect do to things from time to time and forgetfulness is how we justify the things we neglect to do. But we also know how to discipline ourselves to do things every single day without missing. So where does acting like the Church line up? God's Church is the greatest institution ever designed and yet sadly our culture often devalues it or seeks to tailor-make it to fit our desires. We like to have things in the proper dosage in our lives. Having too much of something can cramp our lifestyle. But does this happen with the Church too? Do we like having just enough Church? In Scripture we find a lot of things that we need to obey, and 1 Peter 5 is no different. The Apostle Peter has several exhortations for us in the last few verses, but perhaps we need to make very sure we notice HOW exactly we are supposed to obey. Why does "church" seem to be so confused and devalued in our culture today? How is devil been able to convince us that we may not need the church like we used to? Well, Christians are victors through Jesus and that means that we are called to live for higher and better things than what the common world does. We often find things to worry about in this life. The Lord wants us to know that we can simply do what He has called us to do and live for good and entrust the rest of our lives to Him and His promises.
