I lost out on watching and experiencing the joy of watching my children grow up. I lost out on being an available and attentive partner to my husband. I lost out on remembering the last few years of my precious father's life. I did so because I was so consumed with listening to my own mind chatter; which was busy convincing me that I was unhappy. However, it took one moment in time for me to stop the vicious cycle of negative thoughts swirling through my head. In that moment, I was released from my own mind's grip and was able to take steps to make sure it never had me again. I am now aware of my mind chatter and in complete control of it at all times.
