Liverpool has apparently put a bid in for the Commonwealth Games in 2026 and we had Gary Adlen in the studio for our daily paper review who was actually involved trying to bring the Commonwealth Games to Liverpool for 2020 a couple of years ago. He told us why he thought the Commonwealth Games would be a great thing for Liverpool, if it were to come here in 2026.

Abbey Road studios sound engineer Geoff Emmerick joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to talk about the upcoming event 'The Sessions'. He is hoping to recreate the famous Abbey Road Studio 2 on stage and bring it to life with live music, guiding you through Beatles tracks that were recorded over the years there. The world premiere of the show at Royal Albert Hall in London on April 1st has already sold out and a charity preview of the show is being held on 30th March in the Liverpool Echo Arena. The proceeds from the tickets go towards helping various charities including our very own 'Cash for Kids'. Geoff also shared his fond memories of the Beatles themselves and working alongside legendary producer George Martin.

Paul Nuttall UKIP MEP joined Mick Coyle for the daily paper review and spoke of how he believes John McDonnell, Shadow Chancellor, is a 'Euro Sceptic'. Paul claims that he contacted John McDonnell a couple of years ago and had an e-mail from him implying that he wanted OUT of the EU. When asked if he still had that e-mail, he told us that 'Yahoo deleted it'...

Paul Nuttall joined Mick on Liverpool Live for the daily paper review and spoke about how a group of scientists from Queen Mary University in London have claimed to have traced Banksy, by using technology that is used to identify terrorists. Paul gave his views on how he thinks Banksy should be treated no different from a vandal.

Mark King, Dad of Oliver King, joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to talk about the amazing work that the 'Oliver King Foundation', a charity set up in his name, are doing. Oliver passed away at the age of 12 from heart failure and the Oliver King Foundation has already implemented 800 defibrillators in public buildings across the UK. 5 years on from his death, Mark told Liverpool Live of how he would never give up in his bid to get defibrillators in all schools and public buildings and to get as many people trained in using a defib as possible.

Professor Chris Brady, Director of Centre for Sports Business at University of Salford and football finance expert, spoke to Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live about Everton Football Club's takeover by Farhad Moshiri.

Liverpool youth worker Breo spoke to Mick Coyle about meeting the family of a young Liverpool fan, whose family took him to Anfield one last time, before laying him to rest at home in Ireland.
