  • Male and Female He Created Them Part 2

    07/03/2021 Duração: 44min

Work is a very big part of most people’s lives. Does the church have a biblical worldview about our vocation? Does the church really see working as a sacred act that furthers God’s kingdom or is that just reserved for pastors and missionaries? Is work merely a necessary evil in a sinful world or is it rooted in creation and part of what it means to bear the image of God as a disciple of Christ?

  • Male and Female He Created Them

    28/02/2021 Duração: 46min

A person’s gender identity is inescapable, something they live with and try to make sense of always. God has a lot to say about what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman. The way one either embraces or rejects God’s design in masculinity or femininity will greatly impact what discipleship means for them.

  • That It May Go Well

    21/02/2021 Duração: 41min

Perhaps the most life shaping relationship is that of a child to his or her parents. Thus, the call to parent is a tremendous responsibility before God but also an equally awesome opportunity to lead a child to respond to the gospel in faith. Parents and children alike will be encouraged to see their relationship as a key opportunity for discipleship that Jesus commands.

  • A Profound Mystery

    14/02/2021 Duração: 39min

Christianity has something to say about marriage and singleness that is completely different than what the world would say, and for the better. While marriage reveals the relationship between Christ and his church singleness reveals a believers eternal identification with the church. Having biblical convictions about both is crucial to growing as a disciple of Christ.

  • And They Devoted Themselves

    07/02/2021 Duração: 44min

As we explore church membership we will give special attention to how membership fulfills both the individual call to become a disciple of Christ and the corporate call to make disciples for the glory of Christ. Understanding why a church should practice church membership and what it means to be a member of a local church is crucial to a believer’s growth in Christ.

  • Shepherd The Flock of God

    31/01/2021 Duração: 43min

Jesus says to go and make disciples of all nations. If we take this as our mission, and we do, then we have to wrestle with the way that the church must be led by Godly leaders. By so doing, the church can fulfill its calling: to make disciples for the glory of Christ.

  • When It's Not Self Evident

    24/01/2021 Duração: 38min

Throughout history Christianity and the church has stood for human rights, including the rights of the unborn baby in the womb. This was because things that seem like they should be self evident actually are not. For instance, murdering babies in their mother's womb. History proves that without the fear of God there are no self-evident truths shared amongst sinful humanity.

  • The Cursed, the Curse, and the Blessing

    10/01/2021 Duração: 53min

    Galatians 3:10-14

  • Persevering in Prayer

    03/01/2021 Duração: 48min
  • One Thing is Necessary

    27/12/2020 Duração: 42min

Jesus graciously shepherds the heart’s of his people to grow in recognizing the one thing that is necessary for them among the few things that are actually necessary. He does this so that we might bring that one thing into focus and hold it there for the rest of our lives more faithfully. Amidst many distractions how can we freshly see what is necessary and do what is best to guard our focus on that one thing?

  • Esther is the "Reason for the Season"?

    20/12/2020 Duração: 45min

The book of Esther ends with the Jews feasting and celebrating on the holiday of Purim, there is no mention of God. Are we to conclude that Esther is the reason for the season? Much like Christ is forgotten at Christmas, it seems God was forgotten for how he saved the Jews. The writer doesn’t mean to exalt Esther in place of God but through the great reversal of fortunes, the writer leaves the reader to see that this salvation could only have been accomplished by God.

  • A Reverse Occurred

    13/12/2020 Duração: 44min

Interestingly, in God’s view the reverse wasn’t official until it was both legally valid and acted upon. Even though Haman was dead the law that decreed the Jews to be killed still needed to be reversed and replaced with a new law that protected them. Not only does God provide for the law to be reversed but he empowers the Jews to take vengeance on their enemies. Hence, a Reverse Occurred.

Gaining the perspective of Philippians 3:7-11 his church can start seeing the ways we can trust Jesus to use our losses to deepen our ministry and teach us to love as he did.
