3rd John tells us of three men who serve as examples of three kinds of Christians who exist in all ages: the Cooperative Christian - Gaius, the Competitive Christian - Diotrephes, and the Consummate Christian - Demetrius.

2nd John 1:7-13 highlights the importance of getting Jesus Christ right. Is is possible to get the Savior wrong and salvation right? Not according to John and John was concerned about those who were not getting the Savior right. John says "Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son."

2nd John is one of the most neglected books of the Bible and yet it packs a powerful punch. What is the link between truth, love and obedience? In these first six verses of 2nd John the great apostle completely destroys two common fallacies about Christian Living.

It is has been said that people who say it's easy to trust the Lord have never really had to do it. Ironically, trust is always the most necessary when it is the most difficult to muster. Pastor Ryan and Chrissy D'Amato share how they had to learn to trust God in the birth of their second child, Aubrie, with Hillside Community Church in Porterville.

Perhaps the greatest sermon ever preached. Why have the Jewish people been persecuted so much over the course of history? What is behind all of this persecution? How have the Jewish people miraculously survived all these attempts to extinguish them as a people group? Daniel 12 assures the Jewish people they will make it all the way to the end, but not without hardship and difficulty. Nevertheless in the end "All Israel will be saved".

Daniel 11 contains over 130 specific prophecy references to the next 300+ years of Daniel's people and holy city. The constant political turmoil and intrigue reminds us of the instability of earthly governments and the impossibility of ever moving beyond war. Daniel also warns of a coming king in the end-times who will be the very antithesis of Jesus.

Are angels and demons involved in our personal and worldly affairs? If so, how so? Do our prayers help and hinder powers in the heavenly realms? These and other questions are addressed in this week's sermon.

Long ago there were three days that changed the world. We are most familiar with the Friday of the Crucifixion and the Sunday of the Resurrection. But what was the feeling on Saturday - the Day in the Tomb? How often, if ever, do we think about the pain and confusion of that day...when it seemed all the hope place in Jesus lay buried with Him in that tomb. Those who experienced these events firsthand thought that everything was now hopeless...little did they realize their hope was merely on hold.

In Daniel 8, Daniel is given a preview of coming attractions for the Jewish people in the the next 300 years. Imagine if the Lord gave you a vision for the next 300 years of the nation you hold most dear and what if the vision revealed heartache and suffering for that nation and your family? How would you feel? You would probably feel like Daniel feels at the end of this chapter: Daniel 8:27 I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.

Daniel Chapter 7

Daniel's enemies attempt to entrap him by making his integrity work against him rather than for him. Instead God uses their lack of integrity to entrap them. What can we learn from Daniel's integrity and how can we grow in integrity?

People think they can build walls to keep out the judgments of God, but everyone eventually faces a day when they must deal with the writing on the wall. There are no walls think enough to keep out the judgment of God.

In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego by refusing to bow down to the image Nebuchadnezzar set up. Did they have great faith because they had great courage or did they have great courage because they had great faith? It has been said there are two kinds of faith...which one did Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego have?

In Daniel 2, King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream which greatly disturbs him. In verses 1-30, we see how human insecurity gives birth to human hostility. Somehow in the midst of all this Daniel remains calm and composed. What gave Daniel this sense of assurance?
