I have said for many years, one of the key signs of maturity to the Christian is not whether something bothers us, but whether let things in life bother us. You see, many things in this life are bothersome; but why do they only ‘bother some?’ Maturity is seen by whether you ‘let it bother you’ becoming consumed by the issue. Another thing I have learned is the fact that when I forgive, I set a prisoner free; only to find out the prisoner was me! The bottom line is this, if you and I are to be victorious in our lives, we must stop looking at ourselves as a casualty of circumstance, upbringing or life. As Christians, we are more than conquerors’, overcomers of the weaknesses in this life because we ‘come over’ to the strength found in Jesus Christ.

The Lord gave me a simple definition in understanding how to live a life of faith. I was given this understanding; ‘Faith is believing; believing is accepting, accepting is receiving and receiving is what we will do when we have faith in accepting God’s word (lit… taking God at His word), which enables us to receive God’s promises.’ You see, many have religion, but no faith, a creed, but no belief; they do not really and actively trust God. Why? Most don't understand faith, and it doesn’t make sense to believe (act upon) something you don’t understand. Yet we must realize, faith is believing when common sense tells you not to. Faith is the principle of life by which we live unto God, the principle of motionby which we walk the road to heaven and the principle of strength by which we oppose the flesh, the world and the devil. It's the old saying: LET GO AND LET GOD. Yet the sacred art of letting go is not the same as giving up. Instead, it's the art of giving in, realizing that as much as you'd like to do something about a situation that's driving you crazy or hurting you deeply, you realize you are helpless. Why is faith so important in the Christian life? What is faith as referred to in scripture? Is it really important to live a life of faith if we are to live a life in Christ? In Hebrews 11:6 scripture declares, "...without FAITH, it is impossible to please God: for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." When you look at the word 'Please' in this passage, we find it means to be 'acceptable, pleasing and agreeable.' So if we read this passage as it is set, it would read this way, "Without faith it is impossible to be acceptable, pleasing or agreeable with God.' War is a fact of life -- the US has been involved in many different conflicts since the founding of this country and one thing is certain, those who are engaged in war, have no doubt who their enemies are, have a plan to defeat them, and are trained todo battle. As Christians, you and I are in a battle, but it’s a battle of a different kind. It is not a physical battle, but a spiritual one—yet it is just as real. The Bible tells us that we are “fighting against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.” So in this, we have a choice: gain or lose ground, advance or retreat, ultimately win or loose. It is a choice...to take up arms and win, or ignore the battle and ultimately lose?

The woman who creates and sustains a home, is a creator second only to God. 'Mom' has been given the privilege to share in creation as being the vessel God would use to bring a child, God’s Creation; into this world. On Mother’s Day, as we should every day, we will pay homage to the 'Mom' in each of our everyday lives. They are, and remain to be, the 'creators and sustainers' of our homes. To every mom, today and always; Thank You!’ We Love and Honor You!

Today we hosted the CMA, Christian Motorcyclists Association at Victorious Life. This was an incredible time to get to know a wonderful interdenominational and ‘non-respecter’ of motorcycles (Harley, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha… all are welcome) group, dedicated to reaching people for Christ in the highways and byways through motorcycling. CMA is not a club, but a ministry that is designed to make ministers of our members. This was a time for understanding that the Lord will use all of us and He makes all of us usable for His Glory and purpose becoming all things to all people that by all means we might save some.

God wants us blessed that we may be a blessing and become a blessing! He desires to bless us to the degree that all those that are in daily contact with us could literally see the blessing of God on our lives. Looking at God’s promises, we find that they are all contingent upon our obedience. In our belief and trust, which are one in the same, i.e… to believe is to trust, to trust is to believe. There is always a relationship between possessions and priorities. We’ll always invest the most time, money and effort in what we love most. In 'Building our Christian Life', we must consider God's protection provision is based upon our trusting Him!
