    Larry Vuckovich Jazz Trio Sebastopol Center for the Arts January 20th, 2019 @ 4:30 pm Larry Vuckovich presents an exciting jazz historic trio format. Before the modern jazz piano trios of piano/bass/drums such as Bud Powell, Oscar Peterson, and Hank Jones trio formats, the original jazz piano trio included the combination of piano/guitar/bass. Nat King Cole popularized this format. Art Tatum also at times played in this combination. Vince Guaraldi's first recordings were also in this form. One of Jim Hall's favorite recordings was done with Carl Perkins on piano and Red Mitchell on bass. The Snow Leopard's habitat is high altitude in the rugged mountains of Central Asia. Snow Leopards are solo traveler and elusive, known as the "Ghost Cat." Females raise their cubs alone for up to 18 months. The internationally recognized conservation nonprofit, Snow Leopard Conservancy (SLC), is headquartered in Sonoma County. For almost 20 years, the Conservancy has been dedicated to preservation of the Snow Leopard. Dr. Rodney Jackson, Director of SLC, will share with us the Conservancy's work on habitat and species preservation.
