"Jacob Gets Tricked!" That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 29:15-26 as its main text. In today's episode, Jacob agrees to work for seven years for permission to marry Rachel. But on the morning after the wedding, he gets quite a surprise! 

"Jacob Meets Rachel." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 29:1-14 as its main passage. In last week's episode, God promised that He would be with Jacob. In this week's episode, we see (once again!) evidence that God keeps His promises.

"Jacob Meets God." That's the title of today's episode which has Genesis 28:6-21 as its main text. While fleeing for his life and spending the night away from people, Jacob has a dream of a stairway to heaven, and is met by God!

"Jacob is Sent Away." That's the title of today's episode which has Genesis 27:41-28:5 as its main text. After being deprived of his birthright and blessing by his brother, Esau wants to murder Jacob. Rebekah decides to take action to preserve her favorite son's life by convincing her husband Isaac to send Jacob far away under the pretext of being commissioned to find a suitable wife.

"Esau is Too Late." That's the title of today's episode which has Genesis 27:30-40 as its main text. Jacob narrowly escapes being caught in the act, but Esau is too late.

"Jacob Obtains The Blessing." That's the title of today's episode which has Genesis 27:18-29 as its main text. Once again, we are confronted with glaring dysfunction within the family that God chooses to use to bless the world. We count no less than nine instances of wickedness on the part of Jacob to trick his father into giving Jacob the blessing which Isaac intended for Esau. 

"Let Your Curse Be On Me." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 27:5-17 as its main text. This title is taken from the very words spoken by Rebekah to her favorite son Jacob. In today's episode, Rebekah and Isaac prepare to deceive and cheat Rebekah's husband Isaac, and Jacob's brother Esau. Can you say "dysfunctional family"? 

"The LORD's Ways Are Not Our Ways." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 26:34-27:1 as its main text. Isaac is about to give the blessing to his favorite son Esau and not to Jacob, the one chosen by God! Did Isaac forget the word of the Lord before the twins were born? Or is it possible Isaac is trying to thwart the will of God? Join us as we begin this famous episode in the life of the patriarchs. 

"Live in Peace With All." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 26:26-33 as its main text. In today's study, we're reminded that how we treat others (including those we consider outside of our group) matters to God. He has a high standard for us, and He calls us to live in peace with all. 

"Isaac Becomes Very Prosperous." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 26:12-25 as its main text. Who doesn't like to talk about being blessed by God with prosperity? In addition, we look at how Isaac handled repeated persecution from his envious neighbors. 

"Like Father, Like Son in Mistakes." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 26:7-11 as its main text. Today, we're reminded that decisions made in fear erode our trust in God, that we need to be mindful of how we behave in public, and we consider the danger of engaging in patterns of intentional sin. 

"Like Father, Like Son in Blessings." That's the title of today's episode, where we witness God carrying His promises that He made to Abraham over to Isaac, Abraham's son of promise. We also notice that it seems to be in our greatest times of heartache and need that God speaks His promises most clearly to us, with one of the greatest promises to us being, "I will be with you." Finally, we see that obedience cannot be disregarded as a factor when it comes to being blessed by God. 

"Esau Squanders His Future." That's the title of today's episode, where we witness the short-sighted, selfish, foolish decision made by Esau to trade something priceless and lasting in exchange for something inferior just to satisfy his temporary craving. But we should inspect our own tendencies while pointing at Esau and proclaiming him a fool. 

"Isaac and Rebekah, Esau and Jacob" That's the title of today's episode, where we meet two new characters to this saga: Esau and Jacob, twin sons of Isaac and Rebekah.

"Ishmael's Descendants" That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 25:11-18 as its main text. In this study, we see once again that God keeps His promises. In addition, we find ourselves confronted with two deaths in a span of nine verses, making us long for that future promise when death will finally be swallowed up in the victory secured by Jesus' perfect sacrifice on our behalf! 

"Abraham's Burial and His Legacy." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 25:8b-10 as its main text. In this study, we look with esteem and honor at Abraham's momentous life, and we're challenged by his example and reputation as a person known for his faith more than anything else.

"Abraham's Other Sons and His Death." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 25:1-8a as its main text. In this study, we meet other sons of Abraham, we witness the passing of this greatest of the patriarchs, and we do a little math to uncover some surprising facts. 

"Finding The Perfect Spouse." That's the tongue-in-cheek title of today's episode, which has Genesis 24 as its main text. In this study, we have a little fun (and a little help from "Mr. Wonderful"!) as we review all of chapter 24 in search of hints and suggestions that may be helpful in finding the "perfect spouse."

"Accompanying A Bride For Isaac." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 24:54b-67 as its main text. In this study, we see Rebekah commit to marry a man she has never met. We ponder the suffering that must have been part of traveling for a month in the desert. We watch as Isaac and Rebekah meet for the first time. We experience for the first time in the Bible the mention of love between a man and a woman who become husband and wife. And we consider it all again as insight into our role as the bride and our relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

"Securing A Bride For Isaac." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 24:29-54a as its main text. In this study, we meet a new character: Rebekah's brother Laban. We also listen in as the unnamed servant testifies to the goodness of God in leading and guiding him in accordance with God's will to the woman He has appointed to marry Isaac.
