River Of Life - Cold Spring

The season os Christmas leads us into wonder; as kids, we always wondered what Christmas Day would bring. In life, we wonder what we will become, who we will marry, etc. But wonder can remind us of what we don't have. Can we still live in wonder when we are wondering how we will make year-end financial goals, family issues, and whatever else life can bring that seems to be there to tear us down. We have a special guest joining us this week! Paul Hurckman is involved with a beautiful organization called Venture, an organization that offers relief refugees fleeing violence, combats human trafficking, oppression & extreme poverty, and brings the hope of the gospel to unsafe, unreached, and under-resourced areas. Paul shares the ways that we as Christians can join alongside of those in other areas of the world to be a part of this amazing opportunity.

It's not impossible to live a life of being grateful. We often find ourselves in awe of the many amenities and luxuries we have in this world. However, can we be thankful enough to give it all back to the One who gave it to us? Often times, we can easily give God a chance in the things that are within our own lives or the areas of our control, but what about the important things that have been given to us to steward? There is so much for us to be excited for in this life, but we are often quick to submit to the ease and comforts of life... and the routine of prayer. Especially when it comes to asking God. He commands us to ask in earnest, and to be persistent. It's often times coming to God with a big "ask" that leads us to see how greatly He can move! We hope you enjoy this message!

We as a christian community believe that God is up to something amazing. Especially when it comes to how He is leading us. But often times, our "but" gets in the way. We often use our "buts" as an excuse for the greater purpose that God is leading us to. So let's begin to step our in faith, and learn how we can get our "but" out of the way!

This week our greatest act is found in Christ's greatest command: to love the Lord with ALL we are, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. But without Christ as our foundation, it is difficult to step out in faith and lead others to give God a chance. We hope this message challenges you to be the light our world so desperately needs!

We are quick to jump to conclusions, but God who created all things is not a God bound to time; He is good, and if it's not good, He is not done yet.
