River Of Life - Cold Spring

Our character has a greater influence than our actions. We all want to show others we are virtuous, but if we can't back this up with our everyday interactions, it only takes one moment for it all to fall down. Especially when we are stressed, tired, or overwhelmed. How can we remedy this? We hope this message helps to bring clarity.

We are entering into the second week of our series, Out of Character. David was a known as a man after God's own heart... who also failed. His character comes into question when we read the honest accounts of his life, but what made him wear the title so effectively? The heart of God. We hope this message encourages you to seek the heart of God daily!

We are jumping into a new series talking about the humanity of many of the Bible's characters we read throughout the narrative of Scripture. The Bible was written with the purpose of connecting us to what to do, and what not to do. It wasn't written as a rule book, but as a testament of the goodness and faithfulness of God. However, we often act OUT of character against God due to the humanity we face every day. We hope you gain some wisdom and insight in this weekend's teaching.

We are joined by special guest Joe Anderson from Surrender Ministries! He has an amazing story of redemption from afflictions, addictions, marital struggles, and many more. His story reminds us that life can be chaotic, but life it doesn't have to be lived in chaos. God is still on the throne, and if we can allow Him to use our stories, He can make something of it that is greater than we could ever dream! We hope you enjoy this amazing story.

We are celebrating our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the Hope of the nations, our King, and our Shepherd. Along with our celebration, we are exploring how Christ's love and death/resurrection can affect us. Our stories are what make His name known...but it's not always easy sharing them. Scripture says that we overcome the enemy by "the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony." (Revelation 12:11) So we shouldn't hide our weakness, but make them know to proclaim the profound love of our savior. We are preparing our hearts for Holy Week with a message on Palm Sunday. Pastor Kirby related the story of Jesus coming into Jerusalem on a donkey to the same way we view Jesus. Often times, we want to view our relationship and perspective of Jesus from the culture and experiences we have had. But what if we looked at Him the way He has been trying to speak to us?

We are taking a look into our experience as we navigate the ripple-effects of last week. We sought the Lord as a church last week for healings, deliverances, and miracles. While we have some amazing testimonies of some of these events, but the greater purpose in all of this isn't to enhance our comfortable way of living... but to give us an eternal perspective. Even when the answer isn't what we want, God still hears us.

There is a shift in our services when we come expecting God to do something. And it's not like He is only moving when we are ready...we are able to receive more when we are hungry. To be desperate is a tough place to be, but to know who or what to run to makes all the difference. This Sunday, we sought the Lord together as a church family for His hand to move in our life. But what if we lived life like this EVERY day? We hope this special message encourages you!

We are starting a new series as we head into the Easter season with a thought, "If you can..." If you can, I could be healed, Lord. If you can, I can be delivered. The nemesis to this sentence... "if." We don't want to admit it, but it's incredible difficult to think of God actually walking with us, and, perhaps, maybe even moving in our situations. We hope this message encourages you to look past the "if" of God's capabilities.

Our relationship with God can sometimes... be complicated. When you make a commitment to choose to live and love one person for the rest of your life, there are a lot of benefits, but if we're not careful, these can become more nuisances when we are distant from each other. How do we stay away from simply living as roommates to partners in this life? Pray, Play, and Lay, and this will lead to a marriage that Stays. We are heading into a new series that is focused on one of the most effective ways to find success: relational maturity. Often times relationships are seen as a means to an end, while at times it can be a hindrance in finding fulfillment in life. Life would be easier... if people weren't involved. We are digging in to how to have effective relationships in all areas, this week specifically with romantic and spousal relationships.
