We're starting a new series called, "Breakthrough!" Story after story in the Bible includes really tough seasons of life where people needed God to intervene on their behalf. That's obviously still the case for us today. So we're going to take the month of July and learn how we can trust God in our tough seasons to bring the Breakthrough we need. In this message Dave kicks off the series looking at the ultimate Breakthrough - Jesus' resurrection from the dead. The hope His resurrection gives us can get us through any tough season we're in! Jesus tells us that when we receive the Holy Spirit into our lives we end up having power to be His witnesses. It's Easter Sunday! This year as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, we're going to join his disciples, who originally thought it was complete nonsense! Dead people don't rise from the grave! But God is more than able to do things that are beyond our ability to comprehend. This includes His love. When you really dive into the love of God revealed through Jesus...it's nonsense as well! It is so good that we actually need power from God to grasp it. The meal Jesus had with his disciples the night He was betrayed was The Passover meal. A yearly celebration for the Jewish people to remember the promises of God and tell their children of His love. As we head into Holy Week we will celebrate the Passover together to see what we as Christian’s can learn from our Jewish roots. Oh the love of God!! It is better than life and it is the same for every person on this planet. God doesn't love some more than He loves others. He loves those who love Him. He loves those who want nothing to do with Him.
