How I did my first ask campaign for products that are not what you’d think would be “ask friendly”. It just goes to show, an ask campaign works for just about anything. The reason is simple. Don’t guess at what you think people want. Don’t project on them what you think they need. Ask them what they want... and they will tell you. And here’s the deal, so few companies take the time to engage with customers in this manner that when the customer does get asked what they want, they are more likely to buy and support your products when you give them what they want. Although the intent is there, the consistency is not. Yes, I struggle too. What starts out as an effort to explain why I’ve not published as consistently as intended, rabbit holes into what I’ve been up to recently and how it originated several months ago. In an effort to get ahead, to get things done... Sometimes more often than not driven entrepreneurs like myself work late into the nights, weekends, etc. to make the most of our time. We do this for various reasons. Many would say they do it for their families, to create a better life, to have more time with them. But let’s not loose site of the present moment. Don’t miss the chance to share special moments with the ones closest to you while you are trying to make a life where you can spend more time together in the future. Yes, be diligent and disciplined with your time. Chose self improvement, study and implementation over things that don’t matter (like TV or social media). But DO remember WHY & WHO you are doing what you are doing this for... Don’t neglect them while you are on your quest for a better life together. You are still living life and they are part of it. After procrastinating longer than I’d like to admit (because it’ll never be the right time to launch), I’ve missed sharing so much of my journey with you. Enough is enough. Time to be transparent and take imperfect action. Yes, it sucks (we’ll not too bad). Surely I’ll suck less next time. Prolific Entrepreneurs Radio is for you.
