Jhovany Diaz I met Jhovany Diaz in stand up open mics and showcases around Chicago. He was one of the first comics to reach out and shake my hand and say hi when I started doing stand up. I met Bobby Bienek during a Second City stand up comedy class. Bobby is really good at riffing (improvising in stand up comedy) and also really good at being a practicing lawyer during the day.  A little known fact about Bobby is that he is from Palatine Illinois. Bobby gave me a masterclass on relationships, however, I messed up and recorded only the last 25 minutes of our 1 hour encounter. That is how silly I am. Bobby was gracious enough to be my first podcasting victim and he even dared to allow me to drive him to his home after the podcast and we recorded the last 8 ish minutes of the podcast in my car, where we talk about how Karaoke could be a valueable tool in anyone's dating arsenal. I met Richard when I made an incubator improv team at the Playground Theater a few years ago. Richard is a very nice and sweet guy. There is miniscule age gap between us but we still made pretty decent scenes together and we would have fun in shows and rehearsals. Richard is now a member of the improv team Nectar and a an improv coach at The Comedy Clubhouse. He also does sketch and is working on his first one person show. With Richard we talked how he makes marriage work, what it is like to manage a long distance relationship and his love of board games, among other things. I met Ellen Wesley through Second City, while we were both taking the stand up 201 class. Ellen is an ER Doctor and was very generous with me by sharing her personal story. I met Onicia Muller for the first time at The Crowd Theater and we bonded as performers on the same show. Onicia is involved in the Chicago comedy and storytelling community. Onicia is from the island of St. Maarten. I am too old to remember facts, I thought for some time that she was from Haiti for some reason. Part of her biographical information include the fact that she graduated with an MFA in writing from Northwestern University and that she is happily married. I met Angel Garcia while we were both doing an open mic and later we were both doing guest stand up spots at Joe's on Weed St. He recorded my set with my phone from the back of the club. We bonded at that time and we later met at a couple of open mics. Angel is originally from Houston and lives in Lakeview (specifically Boystown). I am such an idiot that I assumed that he was gay based on the fact that he lives in Boystown. I have a lot of growing up to do. Angel was kind enough to share a really personal story about his past that includes a breakup, heavy alcohol use and recovery. I know Estephany Guzman because she produces and hosts shows and open mics in the Chicago area that incorporate stand up comedy and other forms of performance like music and spoken word. She is a very funny performer and her comedy showcases her point of view of what it feels to be a young immigrant. Estephany shared with me what it was like coming out at 19 years old as queer, her dating experiences, why she is not on dating apps and what she would wear on a first date. I met Cliff Zimowski while taking a stand up class at The Annoyance Theater. When I heard his jokes I doubled up, I almost bust out my belly laughing. It's safe to say that his comedic sensibility is on the darker side. When he offered to be on my podcast I was glad because I know he is very honest with his views on everything from romance (he does not do romance), dating (he doesn't do it) , and having kids (he doesn't have any). He had a lot to say about sex tourism, which was enlightening to say the least. Our mutual friend Johnny Calamos made a couple of cameos during the recording of this podcast because he was at Second City at the time we recorded this podcast.
