We have a purpose as believers. God designed all of humanity for this purpose. We were made to glorify Him with everything we have, including our time and energy. Far too many of us are just enjoying the benefits of our salvation, while there’s a spiritual battle waging all around us. As Bishop Lance challenges us in today’s message, we need to step into the calling of God on our lives and live as though Jesus could come back tomorrow. The lost around us need to know the truth.

Have you ever come across a door you thought was locked, but when you tried the handle, you found out it was unlocked all along? Well, that’s a lot like the challenges that you will face in this life. Bishop Lance teaches you today about the friends of the crippled man who lowered him down from the ceiling to meet Jesus. While they could have seen the crowd surrounding Jesus and given up on their friend, they acted out of determination, and it was because of their faith that their friend received healing.

In the book of James, we are told that we do not have things we want or need because we have not asked for those things from God. The truth is that the Lord is a generous God, who wants to bless us, but we first need to have faith that He can and will provide for us. In today’s message, Bishop Lance reminds us that it is that small mustard seed of faith that causes God to move mountains on our behalf. He will give us whatever we need in this life, all we need to do is ask Him in faith.

Have you ever been truly thirsty? Have you ever gotten to the point where the only thing you can think of is getting a drink of water? Well, Bishop Lance teaches you today that David longed after the presence of God more than he longed after water to drink. When David fell into sinful ways, it was his fear of being taken out of God’s presence that snapped him out of his evil behavior. But now it’s your turn. What will it take for you to develop the same kind of desire for God’s presence?

When we come to the Lord in prayer, are we just asking Him to do things for us? Or are we seeking to spend time in His presence, like a child comes to their father? In today’s message, Bishop Lance is going to teach us about the 27th Psalm, where David is crying out to experience God’s presence. See, we can try to build up big names for ourselves in this world, but those titles and accolades won’t carry over into the next life. We need to focus on what truly lasts, and that is our identity in Christ.

When a follower of Jesus lives a life full of shame and guilt, it’s like driving a car with four flat tires. Sure, you’ll be able to get around eventually, but that vehicle is capable of so much more! In today’s message, Bishop Lance reminds you that when you abide in Christ, you become His co-heir! You don’t have to suffer in guilt and shame, because you have been adopted into God’s family! The sin of your past no longer defines you, the only thing that matters now is that you are a child of the one true God.

Before Jesus’ death on the cross, it was difficult for man to know God! The priests of Israel had to undergo strict purification rites in order to be worthy to enter into God’s presence. But Bishop Lance reminds you today that you’ve been blessed by the blood of Christ! No longer are you locked out of the throne room of God; you are allowed access into the holiest of holy spaces! You are able to know God personally and intimately, just as He knows your heart, your desires, and your needs.

Reading the words of Jesus in the Bible isn’t enough to get you into heaven. In the Gospels, we see demons recognize His divinity, but that doesn’t mean that they are redeemed! No, you must be pursuing the holiness of Christ, and allowing yourself to be transformed from the inside out by the Holy Spirit. Bishop Lance doesn’t want you to be a lukewarm Christian; he wants you to live a life that is on fire for God! That passion for Jesus can propel you to do great things for God’s Kingdom.

Being a witness for Jesus doesn’t need an instruction manual. While having instruction and training is useful, your witness is useless if you don’t have the Holy Spirit living inside you. On today’s program, Bishop Lance is going to teach you about the importance of the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer. Remember that people aren’t drawn to Jesus because of your words, but because of the way the Holy Spirit uses your words to soften the hearts of those who hear your words.

There is coming a day when you and I will meet with the Lord face to face and be held to account for how we lived our lives. In today’s message, Bishop Lance encourages us to develop our own faith in God and not just rely on what other people tell us to form the basis of our belief. Jesus teaches us that those who build on sandy foundations will see their homes destroyed by the storms and waves, but those who build on the solid rock of Christ can endure all that the world throws at us.

It is unique in that only a few will choose it, and many will reject it, but that choice is yours to make. It’s a decision that you’ll make on a daily basis. Will you trust in that grace and die to the sinful nature that constantly tries to claw you back into its grip? You can lean into Jesus in faith, and He’ll provide the strength to live free from sin.

That mission is to spread the Gospel of grace to the ends of the earth. You can choose to risk spending eternity separated from our loving Creator, or a guarantee of eternal life with Him through the grace of Jesus.

Have you allowed your vision for your church or ministry to become an idol? On its surface, it may look and feel like you’re doing everything right. You’re pouring yourself into the work of God… but really, it’s just your idea of who God is and what He wants to do in this world, and He has little to do with it. As Bishop Lance will challenge us in today’s message, it’s vital that we lay down everything that can come between us and God - keeping us from the intimacy He wants to have with us.

We may not be fashioning idols out of gold and silver to bow down to in modern society, but we are very good at fashioning our own gods out of religion and reason. This form of idolatry is more subtle, more pervasive, and harder to recognize. As Bishop Lance will confess in today’s message, it’s something that all of us, himself included, actively struggle with. We need to be sure that our lives are centered around serving Jesus – not a god of our own making that serves our needs and desires.

God cares about your life in the here and now. He provides for you. But, as Bishop Lance will challenge us in today’s message, we don’t really have a problem thinking about the here and now – it comes naturally. We need to be a lot more concerned with eternity and what it’s going to be like for ourselves, our loved ones, neighbors, and co-workers. None of us knows how soon we’ll be confronted with death, and the message of salvation is much more urgent than our lives portray it to be.

The prophecies found in Scripture can be hard to decipher. Some pastors and churches build ministries on their interpretation of that prophecy, and it can become more about their perspective than about the God who gave it in the first place. As Bishop Lance will remind us today, God is the one who gave the prophecies we cling to, and He alone fully understands their meaning and how they’ll play out. We need to trust in Him and loosen our grip on our personal vision for the future.

Satan knows he can’t win, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. Sadly, while Jesus has secured the ultimate victory, each one of us has our own choice to make, and many choose to follow the enemy. In today’s message, Bishop Lance will remind us that we have a steadfast, undefeatable Savior who is stronger than the evil in this world. We don’t need to live in fear and back down from sharing the Gospel; we can step out boldly, knowing that even if they bring their worst, we have eternal hope in Jesus.

God wants you to be a living testimony to His greatness, not yours. As Bishop Lance will remind us today, God doesn’t call us based on our merit. He doesn’t need our money, abilities, or position in society. He can just speak a word, and worlds come into being. He chooses to use us, stubborn, sin-ridden humans, to demonstrate His redemptive power in our weakness. He brings life from death, and all the glory belongs to Him. People don’t need to come to us for help, but to the one who rescued us.

Our enemy is a cunning deceiver. He knows just the right way to convince us that wrong is right and right is wrong, up is down, and down is up. Look at our world in contrast to Scripture, and the deception becomes clear. As Bishop Lance will remind us in today’s message, God is not against you, and He is not the reason for the brokenness in your life and this world. He’s a gracious Redeemer and loves us with a love that longs to restore us and give us hope in the midst of this broken world.

We live in an imperfect world, and often we search for the perfect setting, ideal people, and the right moments in our lives. However, that is not the essence of the church. In today’s message, Bishop Lance emphasizes that the church is not about creating a flawless environment; it is about embracing imperfect individuals who are seeking the perfect Son of God, Jesus Christ. The church is a place where people can be authentic, find hope, and learn to love as Christ loves His family.
