Friends... YOU SHOWED UP! We received tons and tons of topic submissions about sex, dating, masturbation, online dating sites, dating in church, etc. It was impossible to get through them all, but we chose some of our favorites and had a blast talking through them. John's wife, Elyse, joined us for a few minutes to give a (much needed) women's perspective on some of these things. We hope you enjoy :) Oh... And Happy Valentine's Day.

Woah Nelly... This episode is chock full of heavy, heavy topics. Here are the questions: 1. "I'm feeling really down and out because I am not making a lot of money at my current job, and i am having horrible luck job searching. I kind of feel like a failure because I cannot land a decent paying job. How much should I let money and my lack of it affect my life? Is it good that I feel depressed about not landing any better jobs or should I should I act as if it's not something that bad?"2. "How can we trust the bible to be true and reliable and contain absolutely no errors when humans wrote it? Human error has to be accounted when dealing with statistics, because humans inevitably make mistakes."3. "What is a soul? What does it do? If history is truly written by the conquerors, could we as humans have fallen into this trap of reinforcing our "God-given" dominance over the rest with this claim that we alone have souls? How has that colored our view of the animal kingdom and the decisions we take so lightly again

We're BAAAAAAACK! After a short holiday hiatus, we're back in full-swing. We've had dozens and dozens of topic suggestions over the break, and we try to barrel through some in this first episode of 2016. Jingle bells! Merry Christmas! This was one of our favorite episodes... Carl in the sound booth was drinking brandy, we had eggnog and the Sleigh Bells App ready to go, and we had a blast. Here were our questions: 1. What's your least favorite part of Christmas?2. Christmas question. Jesus was born from a virgin? How crucial is that to the whole story? What parts of the Christmas story need to stay fact... For example, if we somehow found out that mary was impregnated by a Roman soldier and the "virgn birth" was all a cover up, does that affect your view of Jesus as lord? Why does it matter that she was a virgin?3. What does Christmas ACTUALLY mean to you. Not the pastor answer. How does this season affect you personally, spiritually, emotionally, etc.

We've really enjoyed the evening recordings... Much more fun than 7am! In this episode, we introduce you to Carl, our imaginary Sound Engineer, and we deal with some heavy topics... 1. Can you please help me understand how God gives us free will and also knows what's going to happen in the future? This topic of predestination vs free will is something I struggle with a lot. How can he do both of those at the same time? 2. I'm a Christian, and I sinned. I knew what I was doing was sinful, but I did it anyway. I hate the fact that I did it. What do I do now? Does God think of me any different?

Three great questions in this episode... 1. Is it okay for Christians to love their life? 2. Is it okay to get your fortune told w/tarot cards? What if I did in the past, do I have demons in my life now because of that? Also, if psychics/mediums who tell the future are evil, why do we praise people who have a gift of prophecy? 3. What is Jesus trying to tell us when he says we shouldn't fight back/we should "turn the other cheek"? Does he mean we should never defend ourselves even if we're being attacked and robbed? If I'm being bullied, I don't know if I can let myself be attacked like that without fighting back.

It's Thanksgiving week and we're all a little punchy... We discuss the WHY behind prayer, especially for global tragedies like the Paris attacks, as well as what to do when the Gospel loses its' 'oomph' in our lives. We finish up by talking about online dating... What an episode!

In this episode, we address a bunch of quicker topics. This is the "cleaning out the junk-drawer" part of preparing for a yard sale. • If someone dies and goes to heaven, do they stay there or become angels that can come down from heaven and interact with us?  • Should parents tell their kids that Santa isn't real? Or should they wait until they're a certain age to reveal that? • Was Jesus a real person? • Why do Catholics worship and make an idol out of the pope? • Do I need to be baptized in order to go to heaven?

An age old question... Were Adam and Eve real people? We've been getting a lot of questions like this. Did God really flood the whole earth? Was Goliath really a giant? In this episode we discuss a theme that we've received dozens of questions around: Salvation. The two specific questions we share are: 1. Why should I go to church? 2. Once saved always saved? I believed when I was younger, but could care less now. What happens if I die tomorrow?

Junk Drawer: I feel like having a specific image of God in our brains can be dangerous. Yes the bible tells us we are made in his image. And that he is our father. But what happens if those images or father figures aren't exactly what we should be seeing God as? How can we or should we be viewing God when we come to him in prayer/meditation/thankfulness/guidance/repentance/confession? Main Question: What advice do you have for overcoming temptation? In that moment of "I know I should not do this, but I really want to do it because I know I will enjoy it." I would love to hear some examples of things that have worked for you guys or maybe others you've had this conversation with, or if you don't have examples, maybe some questions I should be asking myself. I'm really struggling with temptation, in small ways, but many different areas.

In this episode, we discuss two topics... One easy topic, one impossible topic. Junk Drawer - The necessary role of mentors in our lives. Main Question - If God is the creator of everything, did he create evil? Did he create natural disasters and incurable diseases?

Junkdrawer question: Do you ever doubt that God exists? Is that ok?  Main question: "In relation to the kerfuffle with Kim Davis: What takes precedence when The Bible or any message from God conflicts with laws established by a governing body?"

Second episode, where we dig into multiple scenarios that we (as pastors) are unfortunately very familiar with. The primary question that we talk about: How to handle people and conversations at work that are not in line with our spiritual beliefs and morals.
