Today I try to self assess this feeling I have of wanting to fast forward through life. Then I share my dreams/ideas about the future of games. What if we could build games (and virtual worlds in general) that are as immersive, complex, and interactive as the real world.. or even more so? Could it spark a new age of creativity, imagination, and actionable optimism?

Today I connect Hegel's arguments against the monochromatic lense of people who wish to describe the world through a singular lense (such as economics or politics or dystopia) with the aims of Solarpunk, in which seeks to supply an alternative view for more positive futures.

Inspired by this morning's Polymath Networking Cafe, I liken being a polymath to being a magic user. In this episode, I show how being able to think from different perspectives is like being able to see the world as a magician. Stage Performers, Wizards, Clerics, Druids, Warlocks, Chronomancers, Necromancers and so on are all different ways of studying the world to invent new, magical understandings.

Today, I share insights from watching Echo Gecko's videos about the Suburban Wasteland and what we can do to fix it. Car dependency has destroyed and actively harms nearly every aspect of our society, from children autonomy to safety to tax revenue to local businesses to health to ecological impact and more. But we can solve this by clawing back from single-family zoning and allowing for more multi-purpose zoning to build strong communities. Big TW!! I try to process the upsetting news about the new Texas abortion laws. Are these people truly incapable of empathy and emotional intelligence? Or can we help these people be reasoned with? This seems to me to be another case against vertical hierarchy and the need for anarchic communities.

Today, I ramble on about the problem of compulsory schooling and our education system, how to make it better, and being frustrated with feeling like I can't help my siblings much. I also bumble my way through the problems with Applicant Tracking Systems and hiring practices. Finally, I talk a bit about my goals for the arcade I'll be returning to...

Today, I share some thoughts I had talking to a fellow polymath. I share my self esteem issues and why I have associated confidence with arrogance for so long. I talk about the idea of letting my productivity emerge out of my system as opposed to trying to be productive with each thing I do. Finally, I talk about why it's so hard for me to apply to jobs and be okay with them as ladders... It's like being forced to only ever look at a leaf and not the full tree.
