Today I dive into some ideas around subjectivity vs objectivity; why the mind abhors a vacuum and thus why people cling to bad ideas; as well as the nature of consciousness and free will.

Yesterday, I finished my research class (but I'm still gonna go back and look at all the materials!); talked with my friend about playing the game of the workplace; and played Settlers of Catan with my brother.

Today, I share all the projects that I have going on or am starting soon; then I share some ideas I have to stimulate the VR industry through cross platform games; finally, I share my thoughts about the idea that the Luddites were Right about technology and make a case to rehabilitate that term.

In this episode I share the things I'm looking forward to: new projects, new people, promising (but not ideal) career options, and writing about potential positive futures. I think I'm going to try and visualize three futures: humanistic capitalism, decentralized socialism/communism, federated anarchism.

Today I wonder about what I'd say if I was on Lex Fridman's podcast. I also recap my weekend... And even get into some more .. interesting topics such as gender fluidity and VR porn and what it says about the tendency to reduce experiences into overly simplified categories and ideas...

I got some great feedback from my mentors/employers yesterday that really helped me feel better about my competence, it feels good to know you do good work

I was unproductive yesterday... But I was also productive (I hope) by watching more educational content such as PolyMatter, Saint Andrewism, Tom Nicholas, Today I Found Out, and EcoTechBro. How can we better educate and organize ourselves to be better manifestations of nature? I discuss what I learned from my lazy day yesterday and I how I think about moving towards a better future.

Today, I talk about my feeling demotivated and difficulties with routine. I also talk about how scale fundamentally changes the nature of problems and elements inspired by my read through of the polar bear book on Information Architecture. Finally, I talk about what I have been learning about semiotics and phenomenology.

Just recapping the weekend holiday!

This is a more low energy entry. I share my feelings of insecurity. I also talk about hip-hop coin.

Don't listen to this if you are prone to existential dread. I had this idea for potentially creating a more realistic and dynamic virtual world, but then I realized that it would probably not work, but that lead me to understand why people would want to create simulated world like ours .. which lead me to truly feeling some existential dread more viscerally than I usually ever feel. I am not sure if this episode makes a lick of sense, but I do think it is important to share, so ..... Here you go. Listen at your own peril.

Continuing from yesterday's episode, I share more ideas that I've learned from Lex Fridman's interview with Daniel Smachtenberger. In this entry, I go into the concept of Ritualized Discomfort and talk about why optimizing for comfort is dangerous and why individualized, zero-sum success is also dangerous. We need voluntary, communal struggle. I also talk about language.

I talk a bit about the benefits of qualitative research, my plans to be more consistent on YouTube, and what I learned from watching Lex Fridman's interview with Daniel Smachtenberger on Steering Humanity away from Self Destruction. Such a great episode!! Really loved the idea of Compersion and will also search more up on Consilience.
