I live in New York City and had to travel weekends to Philadelphia (2 and ½ hours) each weekend to receive the training I needed. When it comes to the automotive industry, I can tell you first-hand that it is one of the most competitive fields to get into.” A career in the automotive mechanic industry is one that will be very rewarding and can provide great income. The demand for electric cars is rising, and many car owners find it difficult to find a qualified mechanic. The good news is that these mechanics are in high demand and can command higher salaries.
