Life On A Mission

I had the privilege of sitting down with my grandfather and listening to his life story. Its my favorite episode so far. I hope you enjoy.

 It was very much at random that Nicki crossed paths with me. Her and her family came across my mothers farm by chance and from there her and her family immediately became friends with us. As we got to know her more and learn about her outlook on life we began to realize it was no coincidence meeting Nicki and her beautiful family.

Sometimes we could all use a little more education about certain topics. For me Syria was something I needed to have a closer look at. My buddy Adam is a first generation American of a Syrian family and we sit down and talk about the ins and outs of whats going on the in East. Listen closely I believe he has something to teach all of us.

For this episode I had the privilege of sitting down with two wonderful strong women who are both involved in different ministries. It was an honor to sit down with them and to learn how they have pushed to be a positive impact on their communities and most importantly - their families!

Zach Motes and Darian Sanders are two very stand up guys that have chosen to let Jesus guide their path and their journey. They both have different ministries they are involved in but its all for the same goal. In my time I got to have with them I learned a great deal and I hope you all do as well!

My buddy, Blaine, is the social media coordinator for Southeast Christian Church. If you follow any of Southeast's Instagram pages and you see a bible verse that gives you encouragement or hope, you have Blaine to thank for that. We dive into the ins and outs of social media and discuss the effect it has on our society and the upcoming younger generations. Despite there being a lot of negatives, Southeast has taken the platforms of social media and has been able to wonderfully use them to spread the gospel and connect people to Jesus.

Does the American Dream take away from God's plan? Does a life in pursuit of comfort shorten our relationship with Christ? I sit down with my cousin-in-law and one of my best friends, Cameron Looper, and we discuss what more Christians are called to. We dive into several different subjects including the book of Philippians. It is one of his favorite books in the Bible and we expand upon what Paul's letter has in store for us. We dove into so much that there will for sure be more episodes to come! Hope you enjoy!

Sovan Chhan, without a doubt, has experienced more life and more of the world in his young 27 years on this earth than most people have, or ever will. He was uprooted from his home multiple times until he found purpose in the United States Marines. After his career in the marines, he was back on the road searching for his purpose and a home once more. What he found though, he did not expect, but it's changed his life and he's never been the same since. Listen to find out his whole story! There will definitely be more episodes to come with this good friend of mine. Enjoy!

Joey Eaton is a pastor in the west end of Louisville, Kentucky. He attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary here in Louisville and has been growing his ministry for the last decade. He and his wife have a beautiful family and, despite every opportunity to live comfortably, they chose to put Christ first in deciding their path. Of course that doesn't mean they are choosing to live a life of struggle but they are choosing to not give time and attention to pursue things that stray them from their focus on Jesus, which is extremely admirable. We discussed a great many topics on ministering to the fortunate and the less fortunate. We talk about what it means to have Jesus in your life and things you can expect. We cover so many different topics that I feel as if we may need to have a PART 2 to this episode!! Hope you enjoy. More to come!! Stu Perry aka. pastor of disaster!!! I had the privilege to sit down with a buddy of mine, Stu Perry. He is a wrestler, a preacher/speaker and he's gay. We sat down and talked about his diverse lifestyle and all the ups and downs he has experienced and undergone lately. Needless to say, but no matter what views you have on life, you can tell that this guy has a good heart and he's definitely all about spreading the love! Enjoy.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the long absence! I recently flew out to San Diego, California to support my buddy Steve Bidwell as he competed in the West Regionals for the 2018 Crossfit Games. A lot was learned from the weekend. Not the least of which, is that the west coast is absolutely beautiful! On this episode we discuss a life of fitness, exercise, and the United States military. Hey everyone! Hope everyone has had a blessed week! I have recently had the privilege of sitting down with my friend Andrea Scott. She has started a nonprofit called Uniting Partners for Women and Children (aka "UP"). They're currently in the process of finalizing their rental contract and are planning to open their doors this summer! They have recently been awarded a $25,000 Women 4 Women grant and Mayor of Louisville, Greg Fischer, has recently announced UP as recipients in his budget. Andrea has a wonderful story and is also looking for all the volunteers she can get.
