Their fundraiser featuring Five for Fighting is next month at Steelhouse.

This week’s show featured DEAR Diabetes president Lorie Lewis and Food Network star Chef Curtis Aikens promoting an upcoming gala fundraiser for the organization.  Then, Nebraska Children and Families Foundation president and CEO Mary Jo Pankoke discussed their mission of supporting children and families to create positive change through community engagement aimed and strengthening families proactively.

This week’s show featured Christy Stevens sharing her story of fostering four siblings while trying to raise the funds to adopt each of them with events like the upcoming Dante’s Dream event.  Then, Joe Strawn and Sarah Wemhoff-Strawn invited the public to the SammyStrong Foundation’s annual 5K and Home Run Derby fundraiser for families battling pediatric brain cancer.

This week’s show featured Creighton Med student Shannon Blee promoting the upcoming free Community Health Fair, Susan Clark informing about upcoming deadlines for those with storm damage to take advantage of funds available from the Nebraska Realtor Association, and Heartland Family Services’ Dawn Conley inviting golfers to participate in their Safe Haven golf fundraiser.

This week’s show featured Phoenix and Raven with the Eastern Nebraska Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse promoting their upcoming Poker Run fundraiser, Alyssa Jelinek of Right at Home discussing early warning signs of Alzheimer’s, and Dr. Francis Murphy responding to news stories about a shortage of drugs available to treat ADHD.

This week’s show featured Hook n Sync Foundation executive director Sasha promoting her organization as an opportunity for musicians in the metro to be heard and perform.  Then, Set Me Free Project executive director Stephanie Olson discussed her work with the FBI to prevent human trafficking around this year’s College World Series here in Omaha.
