This was the very first set I did for the online event for the facebook technoid/techno-dnb group, obviously couldn't anything regarding this genre with out giving props to this label. Tilt-Recordings was a vinyl + digital label for technoid Drum & Bass, based in Mannheim (Germany), launched by Budoka, Kaiza and DJ Hektik in 2004, maintained by DJ Hektik since 2005, inactive since 2011. Anika D is a versatile producer and DJ, originally from Belgrade, now based in Auckland, New Zealand. Anika D's sound is driven by bass-heavy, techno and cinematic influences, often inspired by science fiction, with her work having been featured at film festivals. Deeply influenced by legends such as Corrupt Souls, Sinthetix, Black Sun Empire, Cause 4 Concern, Bad Company, and Stakka & Skynet, Anika D’s musical identity is rooted in the golden era of drum and bass. Her performances are high-energy journeys, where gritty basslines meet futuristic soundscapes, captivating audiences with both nostalgia and forward-thinking creativity. Currently, Anika D is focusing on drum and bass production, music for screen and video games. As she continues to develop her sound design skills, she’s exploring new ways to push the boundaries of her music, aiming to bring her cinematic and sci-fi influences to life in even more profound ways. ok ok, I guess I'll get caught up on the twitch sessions of mixes, this is my second one for Stonx Music......Stay tuned for part 1. This one was Stonx Music vs BrainRave Recordings. After an hour the set was done but I got hyped and went off the rails and ventured into the darkness.
