Utilizing some time bending technology, Mudd intends to pay Lorca back for abandoning him on the Klingon Prison vessel by learning the secret to Discovery and selling it to the Klingons. The tardigrade, now Ripper, has been brought from the Glenn and is to be researched for use as a weapon. As it turns out, its real good at powering ships with Spore Drives.
