Chesterton once said, “Whatever else is or is not true, this one thing is certain—man is not what he was meant to be.” The challenge that we face today is that no matter how hard we try - no matter how far we run - we are held captive by the evils of this world and the sins of this world because they’re just as much part of us as anyone. Without outside intervention, we’re hopeless.

Many will spend their lives building a personal kingdom, but with no eternal guarantees. In Christ, we not only have peace for today, but a rich inheritance that will last forever.

When you hear “church family,” what comes to mind? In Hebrews 10, we see a few ways we’re meant to live it out in response to all Christ has done for us.

“What’s God’s will for my life?” Great question, one we should all be asking. How do sons and daughters of God think, grow, and live “according to the good pleasure of his will?” (Eph. 1:6). Ultimately, it’s more about who you are than what you do.

If adoption equals rescue from broken situations, then God’s intention is absolutely to rescue sons and daughters out of destructive places in order to place them into a loving family.
