With Esther Perel, The Upgrade by Lifehacker, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, and WorkLife with Adam Grant. The episodes all had a theme of vulnerability and confrontation running through them. Then, they diverge to talk about other podcast recommendations.

An interview with Wendy Zukerman, the host of the amazing Science Vs podcast. In normal days, Science Vs looks at fads and trends from the lens of science to help listeners suss out what is evidence-based. Since January 2020, meaning in these pandemic times, Wendy and the rest of the Science Vs has done some fantastic reporting on Coronavirus and upped their production schedule to putting out two episodes per week to help answer listener questions about the virus.

Sara and Adela discuss the Happiness listening list, which offers perspectives on what we can do as individuals to achieve happiness, what governments can do, and how happiness has become an industry.

In this episode, we’re joined by Andi Paradise, the former leader of our chapter in Santa Cruz, California. Back in January, we learned that Andi was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was given 6-24 months to live. To honor Andi and her contribution to PBC, we dedicated our March 2020 listening list on Happiness to her. In this episode, we talk to Andi about her life, her legacy, and her thoughts about happiness.

In this episode, we’re joined by Heather Welch, the leader of our chapter in Wellington, New Zealand. Heather and other members of the Wellington chapter curated our listening list on Nuclear Power. For the last 8 years, Heather has lived off the grid and documents her off-grid journey on her podcast, Sunshine & PowerCuts.

They discuss the Disinformation & Fake News listening list, which gets into the history, current landscape, and possible solutions of disinformation and fake news.

In this interview, we talk to Matt Levin, who co-hosts Gimme Shelter: The California Housing Crisis Podcast. PBC members worldwide listened to an episode of The Gimme Shelter podcast as part of our December listening list on Homelessness. The episode we listened to was titled “L.A., Houston mayors on housing and homelessness,” which was a collection of interviews with big city mayors on housing and homelessness.

In this interview, Jenna (chapter leader of the virtual chapter of PBC) chats with Sarah Gonzalez, host and reporter on the Planet Money podcast. The theme for the December PBC playlist was Homelessness and we listened to an episode of Planet Money titled “#913: Counting the Homeless,” which looked at ways communities are helping the homeless.

Adela chats with a guest co-host, Zachary Davis, about the Free Will podcast listening list, which featured episodes that explore free will through various lenses, including science, philosophy, religion, and stories.
