    This week James E interviews Clint Slate and Iona James.  This French musician and Scottish nurse who had never met were thrown together by chance as the result of a radio competition to bring performers together to write a song.  The results of this modern day reworking of the Auld Alliance is a musical collaboration which has been released as an EP called The Silent Sea. ‘The Silent Sea EP’ showcases a true team at work, each song being co-written by Iona James and Clint Slate to encapsulate all their influences and embark the listener on a unique and personal journey. This was a big area of concern and controversy in 2014.  As the UK has the worst state pension provision in Europe,  one of the driving forces behind the independence campaign is to improve the state pension to at least the EU average.
