Tony Johnson played high school football for 7 time State 6 A Champion Olathe North High School in Kansas City. Upon graduation, he attended Mid America Nazarene University on a football scholarship. Johnson has coached at numerous high schools in Texas and Kansas and has college coaching experience at TCU, Texas A&M University of Kingsville, and Bethany University to name a few. He has a bachelors in History and two Masters degrees. One in Administration and one in Liberal Arts. This is Coach Johnson 25 season in education. Johnson shares his coaching philosophy that has been crafted by years of coaching. He and Colton discuss the impact a coach has on young minds and the culture he has sought to build in his program. Stanley Laing, a 25-year educator, has served as a teacher, coach and high school administrator. He was the principal at Clark High School from 2006-2010. In 2010 he was named Executive Athletic Director of Northside ISD. He is a graduate of McMurray University in Abilene, TX where he earned his bachelor's degree. He also earned his master's degree from Texas A&M University at Kingsville. In this Episode, Coach Laing pulls back the curtain on Northside ISD, shares his story, and the importance of building hope in the lives of our athletes.

Who is the most valuable person in your life? You might say your mom, your grandfather, or maybe even your girlfriend or boyfriend. Sure, there’s always an easy answer to that question, but the easy answer may not always be the most accurate. If we zoomed out of your life and looked at the person you value the most, do the most for, and focus on the most, you’d most likely be looking in the mirror. If you want to find success in the game of life, then you must learn to treat every person you meet, from the custodian to the coach that’s recruiting you, the same. Treat every person you meet like they are the most valuable person you’ve ever met.

In this episode, Mackey dives in deep and explains what it means to focus forward. He takes a quick dive into sharing the inevitable stumbling blocks we may face in life, and shares how to move past those and continue focusing on our goal forever faithfully. 

Coach Keeney started the Hebron High School volleyball program in 1999 in the school's first year. A graduate of Northeast Missouri State University (B.S.E.); she played four years of volleyball and one year of softball as a student-athlete. Karin has dedicated her career to coaching for 30 years with the last 23 years as a Head Coach. She has earned four state championships at Hebron High School (2004, 2010, 2015, 2016) as well as numerous district titles, bi-district titles and state tournament appearances. Coach Keeney dives into some of the key aspects that have allowed the Volleyball program at Hebron to win four state championships and how to leverage parents involvement in the program.

Debbie was named the Executive Director of Athletics for Katy ISD in 2012 after serving as an assistant athletic director in the district since 2005. Prior to entering into athletic administration, Debbie had been teaching/coaching since 1991 holding a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State University and a Masters of Education from Tarleton State University. Coach Decker earned her Principal Certification while at Tarleton State and is a Certified Athletic Administrator as recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. Coach Brandon Houston is the Offensive Coordinator at Rockdale High School in Rockdale, Texas. He founded CoachHuey.com in 2005 as a way to grow as a football coach. Coach Houston started his coaching career in Odessa, Texas in the mid-90s and has since coached in many areas around Texas. Coach Philip Young was the Yellow Jackets offensive coordinator before becoming Head Coach at Arlington Heights. Prior to that, he was the head coach at 4A Cleburne for 6 years. He was an offensive coordinator at Gainesville where they played in 2 state championship games. He has worked as an assistant at Rice University, University of North Texas and Denton Liberty Christian High School. In this episode, Coach Young gives us some insight into how his mindset and attitude has evolved over his coaching years and shares a little bit about the legacy he hopes to leave.

Coach Don DeLozier is the head football coach and boys' athletic director at Hereford High School. He played collegiate football at The University of Texas at Arlington. In his career, Coach DeLozier has served as Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator, Assistant Head Coach, Head Basketball Coach, and Head Football Coach. Coach DeLozier is passionate about developing young athletes into successful men. In this episode, Coach DeLozier tells us a little bit about what it's like coming home to coach at the high school you played for. He also presents the idea that everyone is a leader. Throughout his athlete's careers, he gives them all the opportunity to step into and embrace leadership.

After 22 years of coaching, Karen Funk moved to the NEISD athletic office in 2000 as an Assistant Athletic Director and in 2011 became the Director of Girl’s Sports. In 2014 Karen Became the first female Athletic Director in San Antonio's history. Karen has been a member of the hosting state conference committee twice and worked for THSADA as the secretary from Spring of 2006-2010. She then served as the Region 8 Director and vice-president. In 2013, Karen was named THSADA's Athletic Director of the year. In this Interview, Karen tells us more about the ways North East ISD has been giving back to their community and how that has impacted their students, coaches, and schools.

Thompson graduated from Rice in 1992 with a degree in political science/pre-law. After spending 11 seasons on the Cypress Falls staff, the last six as offensive coordinator for a program that played in two regional finals and a state championship game between 2004 and 2006, Thompson Made the jump to Head football coach at Langham Creek. In this interview, Thompson shares his background and the importance of setting the standard for his players from day one.

Coach Derick Roberson is the Head Football Coach at Skyline High School in Dallas, TX. Coach Roberson started at Skyline as an assistant coach, he went on to be the Head Coach at Bryan Adams High School. Then, before returning to Skyline, he became Assistant Athletic Director at Dallas ISD for 2 years.

Pratt served for seven years (1993-2000) at Slaughter Middle School and McKinney High School as a history teacher, football coach, basketball coach, and track coach before opening McKinney North High School as the head football coach and athletic coordinator. He remained at North until 2008, when he took on his new role as MISD Director of Athletics. Pratt received his Bachelor of Science in History at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993 and his Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2003. Pratt is a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association, Texas High School Athletic Director’s Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Coaches Outreach, and the McKinney Education Foundation.

As an insider for Texas Football, Mr. Stepp does year-round coverage for all high school football related topics. Prior to Texas Football, Mr. Stepp worked for TheOldCoach.com. Because of his extensive experience in the field, in this episode, Mr. Stepp was able to give us great advice on how to crush your next media interview!

Coach Servance joins Coach 360 to dive into how his team overcame a challenging 2016 season and his advice for coaches who are facing a hard season. Former Lubbock Estacado head football coach, Danny Servance became Head Football Coach at Odessa High School in 2016. Servance, a 1986 graduate of Permian High where he was a member of the 1984 state championship team, was 53-50 during his nine years at the helm of the Matadors’ program, qualifying for the playoffs each season.

Hal Wasson is the Head Football Coach of Southlake Carroll High School. Southlake Carroll High School has won 8 State Championships in the state of Texas. Before moving over to Southlake Carroll, Wasson coached at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Worth, TX. Coach Wasson talks to us about the fundamentals that have been passed down over the years at Southlake Carroll High School. He also explains the value of consistency and what he chooses to preach to his athletes daily.
