  • TGIY Ep. 21 - Raising the Dead

    09/11/2025 Duração: 38min

Modern medicine has made it possible to raise the dead. As long as the person who has died, did so very recently. So far, no one that has been dead for days has been raised from the dead. There have been attempts through history to accomplish this feat though. Man has tried to use electricity to bring dead nerves back to life. Authors like Mary Shelley have written classic tomes about man's pursuit of this endeavor and ultimate success. But that was fiction. As they say, with God, all things are possible and one of those things is the raising of the dead. There are stories throughout the Bible of people being raised from the dead, even after they have been dead for several days. For humanity, the ultimate story of resurrection represents the foundation of salvation. Main theme: Crazy For Thrills by Muse Music with Groove Studios

It wasn't fancy and for many years it was downright dangerous due to its shoddy construction. Today, it is much better and has been the backdrop to many famous historic events. It also is home to several  spirits!

  • Ep. 610 - Legends of Feathered Terrors

    30/10/2025 Duração: 40min

Can there be anything more terrifying than a monster that can swoop down out of the sky and attack? Perhaps even pick you up? Probably the most famous scary flying creature of American lore is Mothman, but the pterodactyl would have to be the most petrifying flying monster in the history of the world. • Witches in America Redux

    28/10/2025 Duração: 39min

On the podcast, we have covered the Salem Witch Trials and other witch hunts in America and Europe. When we originally produced the Witches in America episode, we touched on a couple of the witch hunts that took place before the Salem outbreak, some Native American witches and then a couple of infamous witches, the River Witch of Marietta and the Bell Witch. We are still going to include some of that here, but the witch hunt material got a more thorough treatment in Episode 307, so we pulled that out. This Redux will explore some other witch narratives from America that we didn't cover before and update the material on the Bell Witch. Most of the people accused of witchcraft in the past, weren't actually witches, but that does not mean that there were not or are not really witches in America. Witchcraft has long been practiced in America and Wicca is an accepted religious practice in our modern era. Join us as we explore witches in America.  Check out the website: http://historygoesbump.com Music used in this

    26/10/2025 Duração: 15min

We all have our favorite numbers that we consider to be lucky. There are numbers that some steer clear of because of superstitious beliefs or bad experiences. Numbers mark important dates and can be symbolic. Nearly everything is based on mathematics whether it is engineering a bridge, building a house, counting items, creating a computer program and so much more. Numbers are important to humans. They are clearly very important to the spiritual world as well, based on the Bible. Main theme: Crazy For Thrills by Muse Music with Groove Studios

  • Phantasmal Crime Ep. 50 - Death Row Ghosts

    21/10/2025 Duração: 27min

Prisons are notorious for being haunted. They are places of such strong emotion, that isn't surprising. There are a couple of areas of jails that lend themselves more to haunting activity: solitary confinement and Death Row. Whether one supports the death penalty or not, there is no question that some people commit such heinous crimes that it is hard to imagine, that anything else could be justice other than the death penalty. There are several murderers who have met their final demise at the end of a rope, an electric chair or a needle. Is it possible that their spirits have remained on this side of the veil? Perhaps they are not welcome anywhere else.
