If we're going to know who we are in Christ, we're going to have to pass the Popularity Test! People are shielded from freedom because of fear and worry about what other people think about them. Where do you get your approval from? Another person? Does it really matter what people think about you? It's time to come into agreement with what the Father says about you!

If someone were to ask you - "What is Crossroads about?" Would you know what to say? Pastor Chad Everett continues with Part 2 of "Who Am I? & Why Am I Here?" and focuses on the vision of Crossroads, and breaks it down into two simple words - "Who" & "Why." We are all about helping people find out who (identity) they are in Christ, and why (purpose) they were born.

Most problems in people's lives can be boiled down to two issues - not knowing who they are and not knowing why they are. You get one shot. Don't be a sideliner just sitting and watching life go by. Get in the game. Embrace life. Your life is supremely valuable, and meant to glorify God and delight in Him forever. It does require a posture of surrender. Trust Him! He will make your path straight. #icandothat

In Blake Bradley's "The Mind of Christ Part 2," he encourages us that when life gets tough and hard, we can start to blame God and believe a lie about the character and nature of God - BUT He's a good dad, and He's with us in and through the waiting and the pressing, as we put on the mind of Christ.

The final sermon in the series, "Fixer Upper," Pastor Chad Everett talks about two final gates, each with its own application. The East Gate -where Jesus will return - is all about finishing strong, and The Inspection Gate is when Jesus will gather all believers and reward each one for doing what God has asked them to do in this life. Jesus is REAL, and He's REALLY coming back. Be ready!

When God asks us to do something, obstacles & opposition still come, as the enemy operates to steal from us - the mind starts swirling. It doesn't mean we've missed God. We have a part in what God has asked us to do through making choices and walking out in faith through the duration until it comes to past. It is through God's Word & His Presence that our minds are renewed to that of Christ.

Our walk with God requires continual growth, and God knows there's going to be opposition to our growth. In Pastor Chad Everett's sermon "Fixer Upper Part 8" - he explores the Water Gate and the Horse Gate in Nehemiah 3 to discover how God gave us ways to successfully grow in Him and how to fight for Him. Getting born again is just the beginning - then it's about understanding everything Jesus did for us on the cross. God wants us to keep developing.

Dehydration is a tough physical condition. Did you know that when you give out and give out and not take in more than you give - you can become spiritually dehydrated? God wants us to stay hydrated, and He gave us a solution. Pastor Chad Everett continues in Nehemiah 3 in his "Fixer Upper" series and introduces us to the Fountain Gate - where we can hydrate.

Promise Bradley poses the question: Is God disappointed in me? It's a question that keeps many people away from turning to Him in the first place, and from receiving the free gift of salvation. It's a question that keeps a lot of Christians from living up to who God has created them to be. It's O.K. to ask God questions - even tough ones - they lead to awesome truths.

When God gives us vision or direction to build - He doesn't send us without what we need. From the story of Nehemiah seeking the king for permission, power, provision and protection to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem - we can understand it's an example as sons and daughters of how God provides for us as we rebuild areas of our lives that are worn down and in ruins. You're not alone in your Fixer Upper. We trust you God with our rebuilding project.

Sometimes if you're going to build on to something - you've got to demo something first. There are some ways we think that we need to emo so that when we build on - we build on in a right place, with the right relationship, using the right materials and the right method. Do you have the guts to take on a fixer upper? Are you ready for some demo?

Aren't we all a "Fixer Upper" project? None of us has arrived. We're all still in the process of growing into what God has for us and become everything He wants us to become.
