The professional storytellers at StoryLink Radio, known as Seanchaí, are committed to bringing stories to Life through the spoken word as in traditional oral storytelling. We present stories of many genres... Ancient Myths and Legends, short stories, full length novels, science fiction and high fantasy, philosophy, traditions, drama, fiction, non-fiction, romance, theatre, ghosts & haunts, suspense, stories of the strange, and more! Our stories may be drawn from contemporary sources, or from some dusty near-forgotten tome. Regardless it is a treat like no other to listen to the stories & tales presented in a "live" format with the emotion and feeling a true professional storyteller brings. The Seanchai's job is much more than purely entertainment. The Seanchaí is the custodian of stories and traditions in need of preservation, and possesses the skill to ignore the inhibitions of modern day stifled conversations and instead focuses their attention on presenting those of us with keen ears - with the stories of the past, sometimes the present and, perhaps, even of what's to come. The infectious tones that we hear from their lips allow us to momentarily slip away from the modern day and very real world and conjure up images of Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy. So enter here, and let us be your Seanchaí for a time!

"The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. First published in January 1845, the poem is often noted for its musicality, stylized language, and supernatural atmosphere. It tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness. The lover is lamenting the loss of his love, Lenore. Sitting on a bust of Pallas, the raven seems to further instigate his distress with its constant repetition of the word "Nevermore". The poem makes use of a number of folk, mythological, religious, and classical references.

Aubrey accompanies Ruthven to Rome, but leaves him after Ruthven seduces the daughter of a mutual acquaintance. Aubrey travels to Greece, where he becomes attracted to Ianthe, an innkeeper's daughter. Ianthe tells Aubrey about the legends of the vampire. Ruthven arrives at the scene and shortly thereafter Ianthe is killed by a vampire. Aubrey does not connect Ruthven with the murder and rejoins him in his travels. A week after the landing, Dick Jarvis, the ship's American chemist, sets out south in an auxiliary rocket to photograph the landscape. Eight hundred miles out, the engine on Jarvis' rocket gives out, and he crash-lands into one of the Thyle regions. Rather than sit and wait for rescue, Jarvis decides to walk back north to the Ares. Just after crossing into the Mare Chronium, Jarvis comes across a tentacled Martian creature attacking a large birdlike creature. Morella spends her time in bed reading and teaching her husband. Realizing her physical deterioration, her husband, the narrator, becomes frightened and wishes for his wife's death and eternal peace. Eventually, Morella dies in childbirth proclaiming: "I am dying. But within me is a pledge of that affection... which thou didst feel for me, Morella. And when my spirit departs shall the child live." As the daughter gets older the narrator notices she bears an uncanny resemblance to her mother, but he refuses to give the child a name.
