18/11/2016 Duração: 33minStamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea Legend Kerry Dixon to preview Chelsea's match away to Middlesbrough on Sunday. Chidge and Kerry go down memory lane to 1988 - a very typical Chelsea season at the time, where we became the only First division club to be relegated in a play off...to Middlesbrough. Kerry also talks about winning the much vaunted (!) Full Members Cup against Middlesbrough in 1990. Looking ahead to the match against 'Boro, although the home side have had decent results recently against City and Arsenal, Kerry is confident of another win to keep the Blues rolling along and hopefully be the top of the table by 6.00 pm Sunday. Along the way we discuss Eden Hazard being freed from defensive responsibilities and showing his true quality as a result and Kerry draws comparison with Pat Nevin. Kerry also gives us his views on the possibility of loans for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Dominic Solanke and will they be good enough to make it at Chelsea. Finally, Kerry discusses the future of Chelsea's... &

Matthew Harding's Blue & White Army! Chelsea FanCast #365
24/10/2016 Duração: 01h51minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover and Chelsea journalist Dan Levene to reflect on a great day at Stamford Bridge yesterday. There are some days when it is a pure joy to watch Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Yesterday was one of those days. The collective outburst of joy that greeted the opening goal scored after a mere 30 seconds said it all, and it just kept going and going. Smashing the Mancs 4-0 would be good enough on any normal day, but to do it on the day when we honoured Matthew Harding and ruined Jose Mourinho's return in the process was the icing on the cake! I have been grinning ever since. On the show tonight we’ll be applauding Conte’s total football and asking were the players proving a point to Mourinho and has the 3:4:3 passed its first real test? In part two we’ll be asking whether the horror show against Arsenal can now be seen as a turning point; are we turning Italian and was Jose talking Italian to Conte a load of old flannel? In part three, we’ll be honouring...

Victory Moses! Chelsea FanCast #364
17/10/2016 Duração: 01h52minStamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea author Mark Worall and Dan Silver to discuss two wins; two clean sheets; and a very good performance. Is this all down to Conte’s 3:4:3 system or is it that he’s found the right players to play his way and discarded those who can’t or won’t. Either way, we're happy! On the show tonight we’ll be asking is 3:4:3 the answer? And is playing Victor Moses as wing back and a more centrally deployed Hazard the secret to our success? In part two we’ll be praising Kante and Hazard; sympathizing with Willian; embracing the Youth and asking what next for those who have been left out? In part three, we have a monster round up with news of the next Chelsea FanCast preview show with Kerry Dixon; the Chelsea Supporters Trust SGM with special guest Kerry Dixon; FanDuel; Footsr and even cfcuk! In part four we have a couple of emails and maybe some time for your questions. The Chelsea FanCast #364: Victory Moses! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out infor

Indefensible! Chelsea FanCast #363
26/09/2016 Duração: 01h51minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Clayton Beerman to discuss the car crash of a match against Arsenal that was quite simply...indefensible! On the show tonight we’ll be asking is the end of Chelsea as we knew it and more to the point is it the end for Brana, Cahill and Matic. We’ll also be revealing the winners and the utter disgraces in the Chelsea FanCast FanDuel results. In part two we’ll be looking at Chelsea’s other problem children, namely Courtois and Hazard. In part three, we’ll be asking whether there is any sympathy for the Don. Are we as a club reaping bad management decisions sewn by the Board over the last few years, and where do we go from here? In part four we have the usual round up of Chelsea supporter news together with a bumper crop of emails. Chelsea FanCast #363: Indefensible! Your Worst Fears Confirmed! Chelsea FanCast #362
19/09/2016 Duração: 02h03minStamford Chidge is joined by Dan Silver, Tony Glover & Dan Levene to discuss the defeat to Liverpool, the Stamford Bridge redevelopment plans and the Chelsea Pitch Owners. The honeymoon is over and our worst fears were confirmed as an impressive Liverpool all but swept Chelsea aside in the first half. Chelsea fought back but the damage was done and we lost our first game of the campaign and the first defeat for new manager Conte. All the fears over the squad that finished 10th last season came back to haunt us and it looks like it will take much guile and expertise from Il Capo to turn the ship around. But is it all doom and gloom? Let’s hope that the Chelsea FanCast can provide some insight and substance. On the show tonight we’ll be asking has the new dawn faded and should we modify our expectations for this season. We’ll also be revealing the winners and the utter disgraces in the Chelsea FanCast FanDuel results. Sign up at fanduel.co.uk and use promocode CHELSEAFAN for special offers! In part two..

Mucky Ducks! Chelsea FanCast #361
12/09/2016 Duração: 02h36sStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Mark Worrall and Tony Glover to discuss not killing Swans, Diego Costa, poor refereeing, worse football punditry and the forthcoming game against Liverpool. On the show tonight we’ll praising the Raging Bull – Diego Costa after his 2 goal performance on Sunday and I will be ranting about the bias, myopia and blatant idiocy of John Hartson and Conor McNamara – the dumb and dumber of BBC Radio 5 Live’s appalling football commentary. In part two we’ll be talking FanDuel (don't forget to sign up using the promocode CHELSEAFAN), Referees and seeking Justice for Gary Cahill as well as asking whether this was two points dropped or one point gained. In part three, we’ll look forward to Friday night’s game against Liverpool and ask is Friday Night all right for fighting, sorry, football. In part four we have the usual round up of Chelsea supporter news. And please vote us Best Football Podcast in the Football Blogging Awards! Chelsea FanCast #361: Mucky...

Geeze Luiz! Chelsea FanCast #360
05/09/2016 Duração: 02h05minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Clayton Beerman and Tony Glover to review Chelsea's business in the Transfer Window and to look back on Chelsea's 3-0 win against Burnley and all the latest Chelsea news. Chelsea left it very late in the Transfer Window last week and then pulled a rabbit out of the hat – well more like an energizer bunny really, as they re-signed David Luiz from PSG. Cue meltdown and sneering from opposition fans and the media alike. When those two unholy bedfellows are found frothing at the mouth then you usually know that Chelsea has done something right. But in re-signing Luiz have they? And now the dust has settled, what do we think of Chelsea’s summer business? On the show tonight we’ll be discussing the return of the Geezer. Will he be a good signing or was it a panic last minute buy? Also what will the signing of Luiz mean for the balance and formation of the team and indeed for the future of JT? In part two we’ll take a more in depth look at Chelsea’s summer...

'The Dynamic Duo!' Chelsea FanCast #359
22/08/2016 Duração: 01h58minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Gate 17's finest - Mark Worrall, to discuss the late late show by Chelsea in their win against Watford. Chelsea left it late for the second game in a row this season snatching victory from the jaws of defeat courtesy of a debut goal from Batshuayi and Costa. It was déjà vu with Costa netting the winner having been lucky not get a second yellow and his marching orders, just like against West Ham. But do we care? Not a bit. Conte’s subs fitted like the natty cap he sported during the game, Fabregas patently making the difference with a superb pass for Costa’s goal. But it begs the question why not start with the dynamic duo up front and Fabregas behind? One thing is for certain, ‘Il Capo’ has a midfield conundrum to solve. On the show tonight we’ll be discussing the ‘dynamic duo’ of Costa and Batshuayi and asking why do I get all misty eyed about 4:4:2? Plus we’ve got the latest scores on the doors for Saturday’s FanDuel game. In part two...

'Ironed Out!' Chelsea FanCast #358
16/08/2016 Duração: 01h57minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Ross Mooring and Clayton Beerman to discuss Chelsea's season opening win against West Ham on Saturday... Chelsea kicked of their season last night with Diego Costa burying a late winner against West Ham London. Cue scenes, but most of all from new Manager Antonio Conte. How fantastic to see such passion from our manager – something evidently lacking from a certain individual last season. In some respects it was a case of déjà vu. Loads of chances created but not being clinical enough; Hazard back to his mercurial best; Costa misbehaving and incurring the wrath of a crazed media. But, so good to get off to a winning start. Ahh Chelsea and football…it’s good to have you back. On the show tonight we’ll be talking Costa – the good, the bad and the ugly and asking has Hazard got his mojo back? In part two we’ll be explaining how Kante brings balance to the force; celebrating Conte’s passion and pondering that we are not yet the finished article. In part... &

Countdown to Ecstasy! Chelsea FanCast #357
08/08/2016 Duração: 01h49minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Dan Levene to discuss Chelsea's final pre-season match against Werder Bremen and look ahead to the season opener against West Ham London! Chelsea wrapped up their pre-season with an up and down 4-2 win against Werder Bremen yesterday but what have we really learnt? Questions still remain, especially over the somewhat shaky defence – a defence that in all probability will start against West Ham. It seems that Emenalo needs to get his finger out and get a centre back, full back and striker wrapped up before the transfer deadline and give Conte the tools he needs to mount a successful title challenge… On the show tonight we’ll give our overview of Chelsea’s pre-season and the Werder Bremen match and discuss the enigma wrapped up in an enigma – that’s Oscar to you. In part two we’ll share our fears about the defence, ask what positions in the squad still need to be filled, look ahead to next week’s season opener against West Ham London and...

'Conte-nuity!' Chelsea FanCast #356
01/08/2016 Duração: 01h50minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Ross Mooring and Mark Worrall for the first podcast of the new season! WE ARE BACK - have you missed us? We’ve missed you and we are absolutely pumped for the new season which is almost exactly 2 weeks away. You’ll be glad to know that my pre-season drinking, sorry training, has been going very well so I am raring to go – a lean mean podcasting machine. And with new manager Antonio Conte appointed we are yet again at the dawning of a new era at Chelsea. What could possibly go wrong! On the show tonight we’ll be talking Conte and asking what can we expect from him; what system will he play and will he sort the shirkers of last season out? In part two we’ll have a look at Chelsea’s pre-season to date – is it relevant, is it just a fitness exercise at best or a blatant marketing exercise at worst? We’ll also be casting our eye over the transfers and rumors therein. In part three, we’ll look at the EFL trophy and the changed kick off days and read out...

'Thank Fox For That!' Chelsea FanCast #355
16/05/2016 Duração: 01h53minStamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver & Clayton Beerman for the last show of the season to talk about the Leicester & Liverpool games and the continuing saga around John Terry's contract... Like a 20 stone bloke completing a marathon, Chelsea limped to the end of the season with a 1-1 draw against the Champions. And finally, it’s over, this annus horribilis of a season. Hopefully we can wake up in August and pretend that it never happened. I for one wish the applauding of Leicester players and their goal had never happened – another poor indictment of modern football and its fans. All of this and John Terry’s emotive on-pitch speech to the fans – was it farewell or will we see him leading us out next season? On the show tonight we’ll be asking what the applauding of the Leicester players and their goal was all about and we’ll be looking at the JT saga with the offer of a new contract – a genuine attempt to keep him at the club or a cynical PR stunt? In part two we’ll have a look...
