What Angers and Saddens God | Righteous Indignation
30/03/2022 Duração: 25minUsually, we don’t think of Jesus as getting angry. We have mental snapshots of Him healing the leper, bringing sight to the blind, feeding the multitudes with a few loaves and fish. His kindness and compassion were on display. But on rare occasion, His righteous indignation came to the surface. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie brings us one of those incidents. It’s a message called “What Angers & Saddens God” from the popular series called “Life,” based in the Gospel of John. What Angers and Saddens God | Wrong Assumptions
29/03/2022 Duração: 25minEver been pulled over by a police officer? It’s a nerve-wracking experience. There are videos on social media of people being pulled over, obviously confused about why, and the cop walks up and gives them an ice cream cone. Or some toys for the kids in the backseat. Sometimes our assumptions are all wrong. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out how wrong the assumptions were about Jesus’ mission as Messiah. It’s from his series in the Gospel of John. View and subscribe to Pastor Greg’s weekly notes. --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org. No Regrets | Doing More
25/03/2022 Duração: 25minWhen you’re on the road, every once in a while you may see an unusual speed limit sign. Most mention the maximum speed. But a few post the minimum. Why is that? Because if you fall below the minimum, you’re in danger. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us realize the danger of falling below the minimum in our walk with the Lord. Instead, we’ll focus on giving our all, and hoping to hear those words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” View and subscribe to Pastor Greg’s weekly notes. --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org. No Regrets | Giving It All for the Lord
24/03/2022 Duração: 25minMany pastors are asked a variation of one particular question. Can I do such-and-such and still be a Christian? It’s never “can I tithe and still be a Christian?” It’s always something questionable, or clearly sinful. Essentially, it’s asking, “Can I give my all to Jesus but hold this one thing back?” Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie presents the flip side of that coin. We’ll see a New Testament story of a woman who gave it all for the Lord, including a most precious possession. When God Seems Late | Trusting God's Timing
22/03/2022 Duração: 25minHumans tend to be impatient by nature. And technology has made it worse. We can’t a week to receive a letter anymore. Send a fax? No, nobody does that either. Too slow. Send an e-mail. Better yet, a text. And make sure you abbreviate every word you can, LOL. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out that we need to have the opposite mindset in our relationship with God. We need to wait onGod’s timing, and trust that His timing is divinely perfect. View and subscribe to Pastor Greg’s weekly notes. --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org. How to Live a Meaningful Life | Sunday Message
20/03/2022 Duração: 37minGod wants us to have a successful finish and part of that means helping Him reach those around us. Listen in as Pastor Greg Laurie explores Acts 19 and 20 to share “running tips” from the apostle Paul! Notes God used Paul powerfully, and miracles were happening! Whenever God is at work, the devil will be there to oppose. Satan is real and powerful. Jesus is much more powerful than Satan. The best defense is a good offense. Paul compares himself to a runner in a race (1 Corinthians 9:24). Paul warned to not “get off track.” Paul warned against looking back. Paul wanted to "finish his race with joy." It is a joyful thing to know and walk with God. We need to “play by the rules.” Paul compared himself to a steward. Everything we have has been given to us by God. Paul compared himself to a witness. Paul compared himself to a herald. Paul compared himself to a watchman. We all have 3 things to give to God: Our talent Our treasure Our time We are to be: Runners Stewards

The Race We Must Win | Running With Endurance
10/03/2022 Duração: 25minAs a rule, people don’t walk much anymore. Oh, some might do a couple of miles on the treadmill at the gym, but they drove three laps around the parking lot to get the closest parking space. In biblical times, everybody walked . . . a lot! And running? Well, that was the speeding they did when they were late for work. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out how Paul the Apostle offers counsel on how we can run the race of life with endurance, and how we can run to win. We Can Work it Out | One on One
07/03/2022 Duração: 25minSome people say “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Others say “out of sight, out of mind.” The truth is, any relationship requires connection. What do we say about friends who’ve drifted completely out of our lives? “Oh, so-and-so is someone I used to know.” The same dynamic applies to our relationship with God. It’s a connection that needs to be maintained. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out that connection is one of the keys to finding real happiness in life. Upside-Down Living | Where Happiness Is Found
04/03/2022 Duração: 25minCelebrity marriages are twice as likely to end in divorce. The reason? Research shows the stars experience more pain and suffering than the rest of us. So you have people who are wealthy, famous, attractive, powerful – everything the world says is supposed to make one happy – and they’re miserable. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out why. When we look to the world’s prescription for happiness, we get just the opposite. We’ll instead look to God’s Word. Upside-Down Living | The Lord's Plan for Fulfillment
03/03/2022 Duração: 25minThe world tells us to “look out for number one.” “Every man for himself.” Or to quote Polonius in Hamlet, “Above all, to thine own self be true.” As a result, the world is full of lonely, unfulfilled souls looking for something they never seem to find. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out the Lord’s plan for fulfillment. It doesn’t come from focusing on our own needs, it comes from focusing on what we can do for others. What Do You Live For? | True Satisfaction
28/02/2022 Duração: 26minSo many people post pictures of their food on social media. And admittedly, a lot of it looks really good. But have you noticed the food that’s to die for is also the food you can die from? Isn’t that true? And in the bigger picture, that’s the way sin is. Sin first says “live it up” . . . then says, “you’ll never live that down.” Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out where we can find real satisfaction in life. Are Russia and Ukraine in Bible Prophecy?
26/02/2022 Duração: 04minDuring these events in Ukraine, many people are asking whether this crisis has anything to do with Bible prophecy. Pastor Greg Laurie gives his answer: We’re all aware of what’s happening over in the Ukraine right now. They’re under attack from Russia, and people have asked the question, “Is there any significance to all of this prophetically?” Let me pull the camera back and say this: I believe we’re living in the last days. I believe Christ could come back at any moment. There are signs of the times the Bible tells us to be looking for. And in fact, Jesus likened it to labor pains in a woman who’s ready to give birth, the idea being the closer they get together, the closer you are to the birth. And as we see more signs—more things happening—they’re reminding us Christ is coming back again. Read more at harvest.org. --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org. Happiness: Where to Find It | Genuine Relationship with God
23/02/2022 Duração: 26minYou can’t walk out your front door and say, “I’m gonna go find happiness.” You can’t get in your car and enter happiness as a destination in your GPS. No wonder so many people have a hard time finding it. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out happiness is a by-product, an after-effect. And today, we’ll see how happiness can be fleeting unless it’s the by-product of a genuine relationship with God. It’s a series called Happiness based in the book of Philippians. How to Be an Encourager | Sunday Message
23/01/2022 Duração: 37minEverybody needs someone to encourage them in their walk of faith. In this Sunday morning episode, Pastor Greg Laurie notes the world-changing impact of one man who was known as the “son of encouragement.” Glean good news in this latest message from the book of Acts. Notes “The right word at the right time is like precious gold set in silver.” —Proverbs 25:11 75% of what we worry about never happens, but God will be with us when the other 15% happens. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” —Philippians 4:13 There is a place for criticism and correction. 1. An encourager sees the potential in others and cheers them on. Barnabas took Saul under his wing and true to his name, encouraged him! Do you know a Barnabas? Are you a Barnabas? Paul could not get the church to embrace him. New believers need Christians who will model for them what it is to follow Jesus. If we had more Barnabases, we would have more Pauls. Our calling is to lead others to Chr

Why God Sent a Savior | A Christmas Day Devotion
25/12/2021 Duração: 02minMerry Christmas! Today, we’re featuring today’s daily devotion from Pastor Greg Laurie for Saturday, December 25, 2021. We hope you have a blessed Christmas Day with friends and family. --- I heard about a couple that was going out of town for the Christmas weekend. They packed their luggage, dropped off the dog at a friend’s house, and then loaded up their SUV. They pulled out of the driveway and were driving down the street when the woman suddenly turned to her husband and said, “We forgot the baby!” They had to go back and collect their child, whom they had left in the house. That’s what Christmas is like for many people. How easy it is to miss the whole point. We trim our trees, hang our lights, and attend endless events, but we forget about the Baby. Did Jesus come to this earth so that we could shop and spend too much money on Christmas presents? Of course not. He actually came with the express purpose of dying on a cross for our sins. He said that He came
